LAND 400 Program

LAND 400 will acquire and introduce the mounted combat vehicle systems necessary to enable the Australian Defence Force’s Combined Arms Fighting System.

LAND 400 comprises four phases:– LAND 400 Phase 1 – Scoping study and requirements development (complete)– LAND 400 Phase 2 – Mounted Combat Reconnaissance Capability

Comprising Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle (CRV) Acquisition Contract signed with Rheinmetall Defence Australia on 09 Aug 18

– LAND 400 Phase 3 – Mounted Close Combat Capability Comprising Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) and Manoeuvre Support Vehicle (MSV) Open Tender released in Aug 18; closed 1 Mar 19

– LAND 400 Phase 4 – Capability Assurance Program

– Block II configuration: Reconnaissance (CRV-RECON (BLOCK II)) Command and Control (CRV-C2) Joint Fires & Surveillance (CRV-JFS) Repair (CRV-REP) Recovery (CRV-REC)

Block I - Interim MCRC

25 x Block I CRV in two variants:– 12 x CRV-RECON (Block I) vehicles based

upon the Risk Mitigation Activity (RMA) vehicle– 13 x CRV-MPV vehicles based upon the Royal

Netherlands Army “GeNieGrouP” (GNGP)Engineer Vehicle

– Interim Support Services (ISS) package forthe Block I vehicles until the CRV support contractis in effect

– Deployable capability to be in-service NLT endof 2020
