NEVERENDING GLORY COLLECTION BY JAN PLECHAC & HENRY WIELGUS The Neverending Glory collection reflects nostalgic emotions. Individual silhouettes transform majestic chandeliers from five of the world’s most eminent concert halls and theaters into contemporary design lighting. The collection interprets these lighting icons in a new context to symbolize the prime moments of appreciation and glory. Design lovers can acquire a modern chandelier with a particular memory and take a part of its hidden monumentality and an atmosphere of La Scala in Milan, Palais Garnier in Paris, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, or the Czech Republic’s Estates Theater in Prague, to their living rooms.

Designers Jan Plechac (born 1984) and Henry Wielgus (born 1982) met during their studies at AAAD (The Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague). They firstly collaborated on school projects and quickly developed close creative cooperation. Jan Plechac exhibited his Diploma thesis project at Salone Satellite in 2011 and he subsequently gained a great deal of attention from gallery owners, journalists and renowned manufacturers. Soon after – in 2012 – Jan Plechac and Henry Wielgus founded Jan Plechac & Henry Wielgus Studio. David Leventi (born 1978) is an internationally respected photographer. His works have been widely published in Vanity Fair, The New York Times Magazine, ESPN The Magazine, etc. Leventi‘s current project, entitled „Bjoerling‘s Larynx,“ records the interiors of world-famous opera houses. Photographed with a large-format camera, this body of work is architecturally meticulous and perfectly illustrates the chandeliers of Neverending Glory Collection.
