Jonatan Christie is my favorite badminton player. He is popular as “Jojo”. He joins PB. Tangkas Specs, a badminton club from Jakarta.

All his life, Guntur had dreamt about travelling abroad. One day his school announced a competition for scholarship to study in Singapore. Big Ben is the bell that strikes the hours in the clock tower above the Houses of Parliament at Westminster in London. Once upon a time, there lived a very rich and wealthy man in a big town. He led a

luxurious life. He always boasted about his wealth to his friends and relatives. His son was studying in a distant city and he returned home for vacation. The rich man

wanted to show off to his son how rich he was. But his son wasn‟t fond of any luxurious lifestyle. Kurt Cobain was the lead singer and the guitarist of an American grunge band called Nirvana. He was born in Aberdeen, Washington, on 20 February 1967. When Cobain was eight years old, his parents divorced. This divorce gave bad impact on his life. At his fourteenth birthday, his uncle gave him a guitar as the gift. Since that, he began working on his own songs. He and his friend, Krist Novoselic usually practiced music in the upstairs room of a salon own by Novoselic`s mother. In 1986, they formed a grunge band named Nirvana. Cobain was the vocalist as well as guitarist and Novoselic played bass. They released their first album titled Bleach in 1989. In 1991 they released the second album, Never mind. It was their tremendous album which made them a kind of popular superstar. This album included popular songs like Smell Like Teen Spirit, About A Girl, Come as You Are, In Bloom and Lithium. However the popularity was intimidating to Cobain. He began addicted to drugs and became worse, even he overdosed on heroin. On March 30, he went to rehabilitation but ran away. He was reported missing for a few days. Then on 8 April 1994, he was found dead in his house in Lake Washington. He had shot himself.

It was a beautiful day. Everybody in the Kawar village was happy. The farmers had just had their best harvest. The villagers were planning to hold a party to celebrate the good harvest. How to Install a Six Volt Battery in a Flashlight A flashlight is one of the first things we look for when there is a power failure. However, a dead battery makes the flashlight useless, and fumbling around in the dark is not the best way to replace a battery. Flashlights that hold a 6-volt battery are larger than ones you can grip with one hand and they have handles for easy carrying. Be prepared before the lights go out with a flashlight you can depend on.

Don't be left in the dark with a dead battery. Step 1 Remove the cover protecting the lens of the 6V flashlight. The cover will either screw off or is held by clips. Push up on the end of the clip to release the cover. Step 2 Unscrew the head that holds the lens. The head contains the glass, the light bulb and wires. The wires will still be connected to the tube of the flashlight, so allow the head to hang to one side. Step 3 Flip the flashlight upside down to remove the old battery. You may need to give the flashlight a hard shake to dislodge the battery. The battery is not connected to anything, but the fit may be tight inside the flashlight tube. Step 4 Replace the new battery inside the tube with the "+" end of the battery facing up. The battery will display the "+" sign near the top edge of the battery. Step 5 Screw the head back onto the flashlight tube. Step 6 Snap or screw on the protective cover. Switch the flashlight to on to ensure the battery is properly installed.

Sometimes the plates crash together. Sometimes the edge of one plate slides under another plate. Earthquakes are most common in places where Earth‟s plates bump against each other. More earthquakes happen in the area around the Pacific Ocean than anywhere else. The plate that makes up the bottom of the Pacific is constantly squeezed by the surrounding plates. The pressure causes earthquakes around the edges of the plate. The edge of the Pacific plate runs along the western coast of North and South America. Japan, China, eastern Russia, and the countries of Southeast Asia lie on the other edge of the Pacific plate. All of these places have frequent earthquakes. Most earthquakes are small. The shaking is weak and lasts only a few seconds. You probably would not even notice a weak earthquake. Some earthquakes are very powerful. They cause a lot of shaking. The shaking can last for minutes. Powerful earthquakes destroy buildings, roads, and bridges. The movement of the ground during an earthquake makes buildings and bridges shake. If the buildings and bridges shake enough, they will fall down. Damaged buildings can catch on fire. Earthquakes can also cause landslides. The shaking loosens rock and soil on the sides of mountains and hills. The soil and rock slides down. It can bury towns and neighborhoods. Earthquakes can cause huge waves called tsunamis. Rock slipping along a fault under the ocean causes a tsunami. The sudden movement of the rock sends a shockwave through the water above it. It makes powerful waves of water on the ocean‟s surface. The waves spread out across the ocean. When the waves reach shallow water near land they get bigger and taller. Tsunami waves can be 50 feet (15 meters) high!
