I have worked in the pool and Spa industry for the past 25 years. My introduction into the business began as an installer of Fiberglass pools and spas. I have used this experience to design and develop our Leading Edge Fiberglass Pools, Spas, Tanning Ledges and Swim Shaper products. In addition I have also developed a comprehensive 12 step manufacturing process using my knowledge and understanding of the pool and spa installation process allowing us to manufacture a superior product.

I take pride in creating and maintaining a safe and professional working environment and strive to hire Employees who are family oriented, have attention to detail, and who have demonstrated a desire to work and produce the highest quality products available on the market.

Texturized Slip Resistant Steps and FlooringAll of our Leading Edge products are designed and engineered with safety first. We have specifically designed our Pools, Spas, Swim Shapers and Tanning Ledges to include texturized steps and floors to reduce the risk of injury due to accidental slip and falls. Each Mold has been pre designed to offer luxurious, aesthetically pleasing designs ensuring our customers that their Leading Edge Pools, Spas, Swim Shaper or Tanning Ledges will maintain its strength and durability for years to come.

Safety EdgesOur Leading Edge products are designed with safety first. Most of our pool models have been engineered and designed with either a single or dual Safety Edge that runs along the inside perimeter of the pool.A Safety Edge allows a beginner swimmer, or swimmer in distress, the ability to get to a safe place within the pool by utilizing the Safety Edge. The Safety Edge give those who are just learning how to swim the ability to maneuver safely around the perimeter of the pool. Leading Edge always recommends having adult supervision when any child or beginner swimmer is using your pool.In addition, our Safety Edge allows a child or beginner swimmer the ability to participate with experienced swimmers and join in on the fun with family and friends while playing aquatic games such as volleyball, basketball, or our old time favorite, Marco Polo. Leading Edge has designed, engineered, and incorporated this safety feature directly into our molds at no additional cost to you, our valued customer.

Deep End Safety Swim OutsLeading Edge has developed a deep end Safety Swim Out. Currently this feature is only available in the Harbor Beach and Pentwater Models. This feature is a combination of an upper seat and lower bench that offers the Swimmer the ability to enter or exit the pool or just rest and relax safely in the deep end. This feature also a gives the ability for Parents / Grandparents to stay close to the action without fully emerging themselves in the deep end and allows you to directly oversee a beginner Swimmer.This Safety Feature is also available for our Hybrid Wall Panel System at an additional cost. Due to the fabrication design, set up and material required to construct this feature while on site, please contact Leading Edge or your local dealer to inquire about the additional charge for this Safety feature for all Hybrid wall panel designs.

Shallow and Deep End SeatingAll Leading Edge Pools, Spas, Swim Shaper and Tanning Ledge Seating have been Pre-Fabricated and engineered directly into our molds. All Leading Edge seating has been Pre- designed to give you a smooth, comfortable and nonabrasive place to sit back, relax, and soak up the sun.Whether you are looking for Group style seating or individual style seating, Leading Edge has the pool for you. Our shallow end seating is great for Moms, Dads and Grandparents who just want to keep a close eye on their Children or Grandchildren while having fun in the pool without having to be fully submerged in the water.As an Additional option we offer you the ability to add massage jets to any of our seating configurations allowing you total comfort and relaxation in your own private retreat.

Leading Edge Algae and Bacteria Defense SystemLeading Edge Algae and Bacteria defense system is an anti-microbial synthetic blend of nanoparticles specifically developed for Leading Edge. It is then added into our Premium grade gel-coat finish that is applied to the inner Leading Edge fiberglass shell to help inhibit against the growth of Algae and waterborne bacteria.What makes this product unique to the Leading Edge Manufacturing process? At this time Leading Edge is the only known Fiberglass Pool and Spa manufacturer that uses an additive of synthetically blended nanoparticles as an additional safety feature.

12 Step Manufacturing Process

Underground Lines

The typical setbacks required for common household underground lines is 5' from water’s edge to electrical, gas, telephone, city water and cable TV lines. This does not include lines buried in a utility easement.

Overhead Lines

Most insulated household service wires (electric, telephone, and cable) are required to be a minimum of 10' from water’s edge. If you cannot maintain 10' to water’s edge, it will be necessary to bury wires or have the overhead service moved to another location.

Access To Backyard

As a rule of thumb, in order to accommodate standard sized machinery, we generally need at least 8'6" opening with 18' of overhead clearance. We can, however, use a miniature excavator and overhead boom truck to lift the pool over your house and place it in your backyard if access is too tight. The amount of landscape repair needed after installation will depend on several factors including slope of yard, type of soil, current weather conditions, and size of machinery needed.

Surface Drainage

The pool shell and all related accessories (concrete apron, fence, and landscaping) must not impede the drainage of surface water from downspouts, sump lines, sprinklers, or heavy rainfall to their intended destination (storm sewer basin, pond, ditch, street, etc.) Often times, it is necessary to install deck drains in the concrete apron and reroute existing downspouts, sprinklers, and sump lines to avoid damage to your new pool.

Retention Walls

Retaining walls may be needed if the final grade exceeds a slope of 1' in height to every 6' in length. Types of retention walls include boulders, colored blocks, wood timbers, and poured concrete. Even mounded dirt can be used as a small retention wall if your lot is large enough.

Setback Requirements

Each and every municipality independently governs how close a pool can be located to the house, property lines, septic fields, wells, overhead decks, easements, garages, out buildings, wetlands, woodlands, overhead wires, and waterways. Some cities even have laws that restrict lot coverage percentages. If your pool does not meet the criteria for desired placement, a variance can sometimes be obtained from your local municipality.

Fences

Most states require that all inground pools must have a fence. Your local municipality can add additional ordinances to the state requirements. Door alarms are also required on any doors that have direct access to the pool. This does not include pool gates that are self-latching and self-closing. The only exceptions to installing door alarms are to encapsulate the pool perimeter with fencing or to install a key-operated safety cover.

Mortgage Survey/ Plot Plan

It is extremely helpful if you have a survey available when a salesperson comes to your home. This will help locate lot lines, easements, wetlands, etc. We also use your survey to obtain the necessary building permits for pool installation. You normally would have received a mortgage survey from your title company at the time of your closing. If you do not have a mortgage or have not officially closed on your home, you may be able to get a survey from the builder/ developer. As a last resort, we can sometimes make a hand sketch to submit for the necessary permits. If your city does not accept a hand sketch, a land survey can be obtained for approximately $600-$1200, depending on the size of your lot.

Leading Edge Pools does hereby warrant its One Piece Composite Pool only upon this express limited warranty to the original purchased only on the following items:Lifetime Structural WarrantyLeading Edge Pools warrants the structural soundness of its One Piece Composite Pool shell against water loss due to defects in workmanship and materials for its lifetime of the original purchaser and or the first subsequent purchaser.25 Year Pro-Rated Surface WarrantyLeading Edge Pools warrants the inside of its One Piece Composite Pools (against manufacturers defects) for a period of 25 years of which the first 3 years are non-pro-rated by Leading Edge Pools for workmanship defects, after the Third Year surface will be pro-rated by Leading Edge Pools. Pro-rated items are as follows: Year 4-25 owner is responsible for 8% of repair costs per year. For example Year 8= 8%*5 years= 40% repair costs due by owner. Maximum 75% owner cost repair. Material, labor and travel expense are considered repair costs. Leading Edge Pools, upon warrant claim after year 3, shall give a written estimate of damages and may require a deposit before warranty work is performed. Leading Edge Pools does not warranty against chemical damage to surface, bleaching due to excessive chlorine levels, or low PH levels. Customer must have water tested by an authorized testing facility no less than one time a month. Recommended chemical levels as follows: PH 7.2-7.8, Chlorine 0.5-3.0 range. Stress cracks are not considered surface defects and are not warranted unless pool leaks due to such problem. Also, fading above water line is not warranted due to excessive UV exposure. Any warranty claim must be made in writing within 7 days of warrant issue. Owner is responsible to drain and brace pool and fill pool with water after repair is finished at their expense.One-Time Transferable WarrantyLeading Edge Pools allows a one-tome transfer of warranty from original purchaser to buyer for the first 10 years from date of purchase. Leading Edge Pools requires pool to be inspected and the new owner to be trained on pool operation by a qualified Leading edge Pools Dealer or service professional at owners’’ expense. No transfer of warranty available after Year 10. Transfer must be completed within 90 days of date of closing. Charges apply.Items Not Covered and Exclusions to Structural and Surface WarrantyWarranty may also be void for the following:

Pool is drained for any reason more than 1” below skimmer outlet without notifying Leading Edge Pools for assistance.Pool is damaged by acts of nature such as lightening strike, hurricane or flood damage, hydrostatic pressure from ground water,

Warranty ClaimLeading edge Pools in its sole discretion will determine if the warranty claim is due to a defect in workmanship or materials or alternatively whether the warranty claim is as a result of the actions or non-action by the installer, customer, or some other cause. If Leading Edge Pools determines that the warranty claim is a result of defects in workmanship or materials, Leading Edge Pools reserve the right to repair or replace the pool. In the event that Leading Edge Pools chooses to replace the pool this limited warranty does not include removal or installation of replacement pool. In the event Leading Edge chooses to repair the pool, it will repair it so that it can retain water. Any warranty repairs may require modifications to the pools surface area, color variations may occur in repaired area.DisclaimersLeading Edge Pools shall in no event be liable for any personal injury, property damage, direct, indirect, special incidental or consequential damage or losses of any kind arising from the performance or supply of the One Piece Composite Pool.
