WHAT IS EMULE

eMule is a free peer-to-peer (p2p)file sharing

application for Microsoft Windows. Started in May

2002 as an alternative to eDonkey2000, eMule now

connects to both the eDonkey network and the Kad

network .

Emule is a popular peer2peer / p2p file sharing client, it's

an open source version of edonkey and uses the same ed2k /

edonkey2000 p2p network. Most of the edonkey tips are

therefore applicable. Emule is a little like napster, the

differences from napster include: It has many servers in many

countries which are unlikely to be shut down. It allows sharing

of any file type (not just mp3's). It does multiple source

download, i.e. it will retrieve the file from many places at once,

it can give a very fast download (like 60 Kbytes/sec on

512/256 ADSL).

The real strength of Emule is the content, the amount of

high quality downloadable content beats most any other p2p

networks currently, this is especially so for large files like

movies (700 megs plus). A strong sense of community is

created by ed2k link sites which sets emule and edonkey apart

from most other p2p networks. A verified ed2k content link

guarentees the file you download is correct, the link itself

contains a 'hash' (long number or string) that says exactly what

data the finished file will have, you need never download a

'fake file' again!

WHAT IS A P2P PROGRAM

Millions of people use free P2P file sharing programs - software to

swap music, video and other files over the Internet. Many free P2P file

sharing programs exist. Some P2P software offers a larger user base and

greater numbers of files to choose from. Some software better utilizes

network resources and may be easier to use. Finally, some P2P file sharing

programs are increasing in popularity while others are declining. Consider

all of these factors when deciding which P2P network to join.

WHAT IS KAD NETWORK

The Kad network is a peer-to-peer (P2P) network which

implements the Kademlia P2P overlay protocol. The majority of

users on the Kad Network are also connected to servers on the

eDonkey network, and Kad Network clients typically query known

nodes on the eDonkey network in order to find an initial node on

the Kad network.

THE KAD TAB IN EMULE

Here we can connect to the kad Network ,also we can check

the Firewall to allow the kad from connecting .

So if You can see the green globe Down the page , u can notice 2

green Arrows , the one at the top is for the kad network If it is green

that means that the kad is connected and you have high connection

and if it is yellow it means that the kad is connected but you don’t

have good connection so it is recommended to try having green arrow

and it is the same thing for the other arrow ; it is the ed2k arrow .

WHAT IS ED2K

In computing, ed2k links are hyperlinks used to denote files

stored within the eDonkey P2P network. Many programs, such as

eDonkey2000, eMule, Hybrid, MLDonkey, and others using the

eDonkey file sharing protocol, may be used to manage files stored in

the file sharing network.

ed2k links allow the file to be identified in a browser and

transferred to eMule, eDonkey2000 or other compatible software.

Here we can see all the downloading files that we’ve chosen and

the download speed normally depends on the internet connection and

also the settings made to the programs in fact there are several limits

to do not reach . We also must update the IP Filter regulary by

following those steps : options}security} then on the IP FILTER’S

box we can see update from URL we put there

Also updating the servers can help deleting fake servers in the

servers tabWe can see update servers from URL the we put

http://en.emulehelp.com/server.met after removing all the servers

And we can get started buy putting files to be Downloaded this

procces can be done at the search tab .
