Cisco IP Phone Quick Reference GuidePlease setup your new VM. To access your Voice Mail from your IP phone:Press the Mail button on your phone and follow the voice instructions. Initial pw is sandiego (72634346).* When you receive a new message, a flashing envelope icon displays on your LCD screen and the light on your handset glows to indicate that you have received a new message. *To retrieve your old messages from your old VM system - dial *58288

When you access your VM the 1st time it will prompt you to change your PIN: The PIN cannot contain your primary extension or its reverse. The PIN must contain at least three different digits. The digits cannot all be consecutive, in ascending or descending order (for example, 12345 or 54321). A digit cannot be used more than two times consecutively (for example, 14777). The PIN cannot contain repeated groups of three or more digits (for example, 408510408). The PIN cannot be a numeric representation of your first or last name, or the combination of your first and last names. (For example, if your name is John Doe, you could not use a numeric representation of johnd, johndoe, jdoe, doe.)

To place a call you may choose the following options: Lift the handset, dial 9, and then dial the number OR Press the line button for your extension, then dial 9, and then dial the number OR Press the Speaker button, then dial 9, and then dial the number OR Press the New Call soft key, then dial 9, and then dial the number

To answer a call: Lift the handset OR To use the speakerphone, press the Answer soft key or the Speaker button.

To end a call: Hang up the handset OR If you are using a headset, press the Headset button or the EndCall soft key OR If you are using the speakerphone, press the Speaker button or the EndCall soft key.

To redial a number: To redial the most recently dialed number, press the Redial soft key.

To view Missed; Placed; Received calls: Press the Settings button then Press 1 for Call History and use the soft keys and/or scroll button to find your desired #.

To speed dial from a directory menu: Press the Directories button. Find the directory that you want, then press the corresponding item number. Press the Dial soft key to speed dial a selected number. Note: To enter any letter on your LCD screen, use a corresponding number key. Press the key one or more times to display a particular letter. For example, press 2 once for a, twice for b, and three times for c. To back up, press the
