Starter: Students to access the starter activity via the teach-ict.com site Work through as many of the four activities as they are able to do in the time available Individual Task Ask students to open the file ‘modelling.xls’ from the shared folders Ask students to access ‘lesson 4 task.doc’. Hand a paper copy of ‘spell cost modelling.doc’ to each student. Students should work through the tasks and write their answers down onto the sheet provided.. Remind them to use the video tutorials on http://www.teach-ict.com/software/excel/excel.htm They should aim to find out for themselves how to do things before asking for help. Provide assistance as required. 10 mins 35 mins Review/Summary At least 5 minutes before end. Ask students what the term ‘modelling’ means. Context of the lesson Where this fits into the “Big Picture”
