Let's get to know our museums – exchange of experience and good practicesProject implemented from August to December, 2016.

① Developing European cooperation in the field of culture through the creation and strengthening of cooperation and mutual understanding between museums in Romania and Liechtenstein;

② Transfer of knowledge, exchange of experience and best practices in museums by organizing study visits, at Suceava and Vaduz.

① A museum network of bilateral European cooperation set up between Bucovina Museum and Liechtenstein National Museum;

② Exchange of experience and good practices between specialists from partner museums;

③ Two study visits.

On almost 2000 square metres the Liechtenstein National Museum houses a permanent exhibition focusing on archaeology, history, culture and the natural history of the Principality of Liechtenstein. It also shows internationally noticed special exhibitions. The Postal Museum is dedicated to Liechtenstein's famous postage stamps while the Treasure Chamber presents unique objects that are closely associated with L iechtenstein. The Farmhouse Museum is one of the oldest wooden houses in Liechtenstein dating back to 1518. Its furnishing is typical for agrarian life around the year 1900.

Museum Complexes: History Museum, the Royal Fortress, Bucovina V i l lage Museum, the Pr incely Inn ( The Ethnographic Museum), the Museum of Natural Sciences, Memorial Houses: “Simion Florea Marian”, “Nicolae Labiş”, “Eusebiu Camilar”, “Ciprian Porumbescu”, Siret History Museum, Solca and Bilca Ethnographic Museums and the Local Conservation and Restoration Laboratory.

Project financed from EEA Grants and Norway Grants 2009-2014, in the framework of Programme RO01 - Technical Assistance and Fund for Bilateral Relations at National Level - Measure II: Priority Sectors - Cultural Cooperation from the Fund for Bilateral Relations. The value of the grant amounts to 12.988,25 Euro.

Bucovina Museum holds over 380,000 objects belonging to the movable and immovable heritage in its museum collections, which are representative for the historical and ethnographical area of Bucovina. The museum heritage is diverse, ranging from archaeological pieces dating from prehistory up to the beginning of the contemporary era, numismatic, ethnographic and historic pieces, documents, memorial and documentary collections, art objects and a rich collection in the field of natural sciences.
