Welcome to another exciting season at the Mayfield Dinner Theatre. Once again thank you for being a huge part of the success that is the current season and for taking the time to see ‘what’s the buzz’ for 2016/2017. We are thrilled to open up our season with another segment of our “Icon” series. This year we are pleased to present The Simon and Garfunkel Story. This show has been touring all over the world and we are thrilled to do our own version of this show, starring its creator Dean Elliot. Dean starred in London’s west end version of Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story and then in 2010 starred in our sold-out production of Buddy. We are excited to have him back at the Mayfield for the North American premier of this fabulous show! Last year, Back to the 80’s broke every box office record at the Mayfield - an extremely tough act to follow. This year we celebrate in style with Only In Vegas. The madness at the Mayfield continues as we pay homage to all the great entertainment that has made Vegas the most famous city on earth! Also back with us this year are many of the fabulous performers that have become part of the tradition here at the Mayfield for our seasonal pop music review. If it happened in Vegas, there is a good chance it will happen at the Mayfield this holiday season! There is no better way to bring in 2017 than with the world’s two most famous detectives leading the way. Join us for this hilarious comedic romp as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson retell the tale of the famous Hound of the Baskervilles. They, along with three other amazing actors (playing dozens of different characters) tell this most famous Sir Arthur Conan Doyle story reimagined by the brilliant writer of farce Ken Ludwig and we are very happy to share it with you. Our spring music this year is without a doubt one of the most amazing pieces of theatre ever imagined and defines the term ‘rock opera’. One of my personal favourites and easily the most requested show in our theatre’s long history, Jesus Christ Superstar comes back to the Mayfield after a 23-year absence. We’ve been waiting a long time to be able to bring this classic back to our stage and can’t wait to get started. To end the season, we have chosen a gem of musical theatre comedy - I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change! This hilarious sketch comedy pays tribute to those who have loved and lost and to those who have fallen on their face trying. It is in short, a celebration of the mating game for all ages! We sincerely appreciate your continued patronage and encourage you to join our growing subscriber family. Along with receiving discounted rates for each performance, you will also benefit from exclusive subscriber perks, including discounts at restaurants and hotels across Canada. See you at the Theatre!
