I was Mariamalia’s immediate supervisor at the Conrad Miami as Director of Rooms Division during 2009-2011 where she held the position of Director of Housekeeping. The environment of the Housekeeping department requires delegating numerous tasks with a high sense of urgency while monitoring all team members to follow the hotel’s luxury brand standards. Mariamalia worked at Conrad Miami since June 2009 and has held her position as Director of Housekeeping until 2015. She has exhibited her ability to effectively lead and manage his 70 team members within Housekeeping Department. Her excellent leadership skills enabled our team members to provide the best performance for both internal and external customers. Her strengths lie in her strong learning curve that the luxury hotel brand requires. Specifically, as a Director of Housekeeping, she needed to consistently support her team member, exceed customer expectations, to be in compliance with all brand standards in addition to execute all the details provided by Sales, Catering and Executive Office. With her contribution, Conrad Miami received “Luxury Hotel of the Year” and “Best Service Improvement Award” in 2010 and 2012 by Hilton Worldwide. Mariamalia was one of the main drivers to increase Team member satisfactions, which was #10 out of 3500 hotels worldwide in 2010, as well as hotel cleanliness and condition scores.
