Level 3 NVQ Diploma (QCF)This is a work-based qualification which will enable learners to develop knowledge, understanding and skills essentials for working in a hospitality enviroment, such as supervisory skills, working with others and managing and improving own other’s performance.

BTEC Level 3 AwardThis units have been developed to allow learners to engage in learning that is relevant to them and which will provide opportunities to develop range of skills and techinques, personal skills and attributes essentialo for successful performance in working life.

C&G Functional SkillsFunctional Skills are incorporated into the apprenticeship to help the candidate develop their transferable skills.

Hospitality industry is a fast growing sector, economically important to the world and of the largest UK’s sectors, employing over 2million people. The Level 3 Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision & Leadership is designed to recognise occupational competence for anyone with supervisory or leadership role in the hospitality industry, it is an opportunity to progress into a supervisory or management position. Qualifications suit a

number of occupations such as: Catering/restaurant/banqueting manager, head/senior/sous Cook/Chef, etc...

Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision & Leadership

The Apprenticeship is made up of 5 parts:

= NVQ (QCF): (37 credits) = Edexcel= Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hospitality Services

= Award: (11 credits) = Edexcel BTEC= BTEC Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hospitality & Catering Principles

= Functional Skills (15 credits) = Level 2 English= Level 2 Mathematics

= Employee Rights and Responsibilities

= Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Level 3 NVQ Diploma (QCF) in Hospitality Supervision & Leadership

Objectives The level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hospitality Services has been developed to give learners the opportunity to:

= Engage in learning that is relevant to them and which will provide opportunities to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life = Achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 vocationally-related qualification = Progress to employment / promotion in the hospitality sector

Overview To achieve the full Edexcel Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hospitality Suepervision and Leadership (QCF), learners must attain a minimum of 37 credits in total

Learners have to complete all mandatory units from Group A (23 credits), at least 4 credits from Optional Croup A1 and and the remainnig credits from Optional Group A1 or B1

Overview Learners must already hold a current Level 2 in Hospitality & Catering. The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Award in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Principles (QCF) is an 11 - credit and 78 - guided - learning - hour (GLH) qualification consisting of 3 mandatory units.
