Following the success of the original six PMA Workshops, we are delighted to be able to offer a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. which will provide strategic insight and practical expertise to inform GP practice management.

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management comprises six foundation modules (the six PMA workshops) and several additional modules selected to maximise your learning and self-development. Credits will be awarded for each module completed. The diploma will be awarded when the required number of credits have been accrued, usually over a 12 to 18-month period.

Who is this qualification for? This qualification is designed for practice managers, aspiring managers, project managers, practice nurses and other practicing middle and senior managers. The aim is to develop skills and experience, improve performance and prepare you for senior management responsibilities. Modules Through their work with GP practices, the PMA have established the key modules to enhance knowledge and workplace performance.

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management combines innovative design, with a strong emphasis on workplace performance. It will help leaders and managers develop the right skills, knowledge and awareness to make a lasting difference to their organization.

The full diploma will be dependent on the achievement of 38 credits and will include:

• A two-hour induction. • Tutorial support of at least 7 recorded hours. • Workshops on key topics with individual & group support for learning, including online /

chat room and one-to-one tutorials.

Successful participants in the programme will receive a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, awarded by the Institute of Leadership and Management. As part of the City and Guilds group, it is recognised as the leading body for vocational management education in Europe.
