The Equestrian Education Program at Linden Hall offers a year round competitive training

schedule. Riders may have the opportunity to train and compete in the southern United States

during the winter months. Students are responsible to maintain their academic standing

through regular communication with their instructors. Faculty are flexible and responsive to

students who must be away from school for elite competitions.

Linden Hall’s Varsity and Junior Varsity Equestrian Teams have competed at many of the finest

national competitions including:

Ms. Gillian Beale King, Director of Equestrian Education, and Ms. Hannah Kreider, Assistant Director of Equestrian Education, are both experienced riders and competitors who have worked with riders of all levels and disciplines.

Ms. Beale King is an international-level Equestrian with extensive knowledge in the education, training, and showing process. Incorporating both American and European philosophies into her riding and coaching programs, she has trained among top international show jumping and three-day event riders including her parents, Susie Beale and Doug King; her grandfathers, Major Jeremy Beale and Hunter King; Irish National Show Jumping Champion, Paddy O’Donnell; and Olympic Eventing Gold Medalist, Phillip Dutton.

Ms. Kreider is an experienced Hunter/Jumper rider herself and has worked with Ms. Beale King to formulate a world-class training program with impeccable horse care. This, coupled with the top-tier education offered at Linden Hall, provides a comprehensive, goal-oriented Equestrian experience.
