Meeting Opened: 4:00pm

• Last few positions have been filled, thanks to the following people. • Treasurer: Rebecca Gonzalez (Nuwarra), Friday Cricket Convener: Grant Withers

(Hammo), AFL convener: Alicia Kinniburgh (Livo West), Zone Cricket Coach: Sundren Naicker (Newbridge Hts) and Rugby League Opens Coach: David King (Casula)

5. President’s Report

(Andy Mathews) • 136 teams competing in Zone PSSA this Summer • Liverpool will be in for Winter Season • Calendar voted on and motion passed • Some Constitution points need to be adjusted an email will be sent out in regards to 2

points, which will be voted on at our next meeting. 7:12- money for casuals needs to increase to at least $400 and 7:13 President’s casuals for Carnival days to be payed by our Zone instead of their school.

7. Finance • Last year $11 300 in the bank • This year $11 005 in the bank

8. Zone Swimming Carnival (Chris Hannan)

• Carnival Week 6, Wednesday 2nd March • Prescilla Alvare (Chipping Norton) & Karen Hewitt (Warwick Farm) heading the carnival

9. Summer PSSA • PSSA starts week 4 Friday • Conveners to try and place schools at fields that are closer to them. • Rounds 1 & 2 Sackville Street will be out due to Swim School • Round 1 Wattle Grove will be out due to Swimming Carnival

10. Sports Trials

(Troy Verey- Boys Basketball) • 25- 30 students tried out • Email will be sent out tomorrow with students who made it into the Zone team

(Josh Lanham- AFL)

• Any info about numbers per team • Stu to be contacted for some sacred information

(Paul Meoni- Girls Soccer)

• Trials will be on the 24th Feb, plz only send the best soccer players you have (Andrew Clayton- Boys Soccer)

• Trials will be held over 2 days, emails will be send out with details

11. General Business (Andy Mathews)

• Workshops for different sports are out there, plz let other teachers know (Charonne Brown)

• Friday Cricket can be mixed teams, no ratio of boys to girls • 6 Ball over for Cricket Maximum

(Alicia Kinniburgh) • AFL Competition to be held last week of Term 1 on the Friday • Stage 3 students • Ranging from 12-15 students per team • Boy teams and Girl teams • Send as many teams as you like • Alicia will email details in regard to this day, along with a nomination form for the day • Reminder that first round of PSSA AFL will be a friendly

(Michelle Snowdon) • Uniform updates • Basketball gear is ready to go • Softball pants have been bought in a grey colour • Soccer shorts that have been purchased can also be used for hockey and Basketball

(John Brook/Liz Todhunter/Andrew Clayton) • Softball/T-Ball Bylaws to be amended and will come into this season • Reasons being safety, misinterpretation of rules, mercy rule, ball issues, bat issues

• Motion passed to have bylaws changed for Softball/T-Ball • Sackville Street will have a little boy with Cerebral Palsy playing please be mindful of

his needs • Dalmeny to have 3 students with disabilities playing please be mindful of their needs too
