Roles & Responsibilities:
● Support the schools vision and high aspirations with arelentless focus on pupils’ achievement and personaldevelopment.
● Support the running of an equitable and inclusive schoolwhere each individual maters and all pupils are safe.
● Continuously seek to improve the quality of teachingand learning.
● Inspire, motivate and influence staff and set the highestprofessional standards.
● Inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their potential.
● Develop the leadership capacity of staff in coordinationof Human Resources.
● Work closely with the other Vice Principals to managethe day to day running of the school so that the aimsand vision can be fully realised.
● Contribute fully to the evaluation of the schoolsstrengths and weaknesses and use the findings topromote improvement.
● Use performance data to support, monitor, evaluate,and improve aspects of the school.
● Manage pupil behaviour and create an effective climatefor learning.
● Manage the performance of staff, working alongsidefellow members of the leadership team, includingsupport staff, to bring about improvements.

● Support the effective professional development of staffincluding induction and, where required, the school’scontribution to training beyond the school.
● Contribute to the effective recruitment, retention,deployment and workload of staff.
● Work within the schools financial management plan tohelp the school to achieve its educationalpriorities.
● Engage with parents as necessary to support pupilsand improve outcomes.
Section Responsibilities – Middle School
● Progress against the Key Performance Indicators of the5 Year Strategic Plan and the 2-year schooldevelopment plan goals/targets, as assigned.
● In line with the 5 Year Strategic Plan and the 2-yearschool development plan, lead the development andimplementation of the Middle School Action Plan andreport termly to the Principal regarding itsimplementation, barriers to progress and any remedialaction required.
● Working closely with the Vice Principal for High School,act in oversight of your teaching and leadership team(grades 6 to 9) to ensure daily operations are smoothand effective.
● Working closely with the Vice Principal for High School,oversee and monitor the operational work of the, GradeLeaders and Heads of Department/SubjectCoordinators and lead the conduct of their yearlyperformance management review.
● Ensure all data regarding the quality of teaching andlearning in Grade 6 to 9 is accurately recorded intoiAspire and use the data effectively to identify areas forimprovement.

● Working closely with the Vice Principals for KG andElementary and High School, ensure an effectivetransition strategy is developed and in place forstudents moving from G5 to G6 and G9 to G10.
● Work closely with the Vice Principal for High Schoolsand Heads of Department/Subject Coordinators tocontinually seek out ways to improve the quality ofteaching and learning in Grades 6 to 9, includingcoaching, mentoring, professional development, peerobservations etc.
● Be prepared to lead school based professionaldevelopment in key areas aligned to the schooldevelopment plan.
● Liaise with other Vice Principals and Assistant VicePrincipals and Pastoral teams to monitor and enhancethe quality of student behaviour.
● Work closely with the Vice Principals of KG andElementary and High School to monitor work andevaluate and review the assessment and progress ofall students, ensuring continuity and progression intheir learning, while at the same time giving support toMiddle School colleagues in all aspects of their work inthis area.
● Other assignment as required from time to time by themanagement.
Qualification and Experience:
● Minimum Academic Qualification - Bachelor Degree &ADEK recognized professional teaching qualification
● Minimum 5 years teaching experience
● Minimum 2 years leadership experience
Personal Qualities and Skills
● Strong knowledge and understanding of current MOE(ADEK) regulations & policies.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Strong problem solving skills.
● Strong leadership and organisational skills.
● Strong knowledge of teaching methodologies.
● Proficient use of MS Office.
