A about the girl Lowther Hall ANGLICAN GRAMMAR SCHOOL The Lowther Hall VCE results for 2018 are excellent and reflect the hard work and dedication of both students and teachers. 26 percent of the Year 12 cohort scored an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Entrance Rank) of 95 or above, placing them in the top 5 percent of the nation. 35 percent of ATARs were 90 or more. Perfect scores of 50 out of 50 were achieved by individuals in 5 different subjects and 25 percent of the subject cohort achieved scores of 40 or more across 13 subject areas. This is reflective of the fact that Lowther Hall remains a school which values a breadth of academic experience and encourages girls to pursue their own strengths and interests. I commend each girl who has applied herself to achieve her very best and note also the girls who have managed to successfully navigate the VCE journey through times of personal challenge. Our mission to educate the whole person for the whole of life is reflected this year in the fact that our two highest scoring students lived out the School motto, Non Nobis Solum through extensive involvement in community service within and outside Lowther Hall. Well done to all! Congratulations to our 2018 VCE students! Lowther Hall

In 2016 Anne was recognised by the City of Moonee Valley for her volunteer work when she was selected as a finalist in the “Contribution by Youth” Awards category. Her charity involvement has included work at the Brotherhood of St Laurence and Red Cross Charity stores, volunteering for Heartkids Australia, being a member of the Royal Children’s Hospital Pied Piper Organisation and serving on the Lowther Hall Social Justice Committee. This year, Lesley served as Social Justice Prefect and received the Lowther Hall Principal’s Award for Altruism in recognition of her outstanding service and embodiment of the School motto. Some of the projects that Lesley has led have included: an initiative to remove plastic cutlery and straws from the School canteen, a combined project with the Sport Captain, Jessica Lowry, to enter a Lowther Hall Team in the Neverest Challenge, raising funds for the Australian Himalayan Foundation, the Toy Drive for the Brotherhood of St Laurence (with Faith and Worship Prefect, Anita Ackers) and a fundraiser in Girls 4 Girls Week to raise money for women and children fleeing domestic violence, just to name a few!

Academic Excellence and So Much More...Top scorers, Anne Elias and Lesley Duong not only excelled academically this year, they also lived out the School motto, Non Nobis Solum, by involving themselves in community service and social justice pursuits throughout their secondary schooling.
