INTRODUCTION
Tt will ask the students if they ever looked at the Moon and wondered Why is only half itshowing? Or why on some days its not there at all?

Tt will begin demonstrating how the Moonrevolves around the Earth.
Using Cornell Notes format the Ss will
identify key vocabulary terms used such asrotation and revolution.
Using the table Tt will pick the current dateand time of the lesson. Tt will ask the studentswhat they believe will be the moon phasepresent tonight
Ss will make an educated guess on whatthey feel will be the proper moon phase. Thestudents will label that moon phasecorrectly.

Using the table again the Tt will pick a date
two weeks from today and have the studentsdetermine what phase the Moon will be in.
The Ss will use information gathered to
identify the phase of the moon two weeksfrom today.
Tt will show Ss how the Moon transitions from
the Full to New Moon cycles and give theproper identification of such
Ss will follow along with Tt as the phases are
demonstrated through the interactive webpage.
Tt will have Ss go to link and record data onmoon cycles for the new three months.
Ss will record data of moon cycles in Cornellnotebooks on the phases of the moon.
CLOSUREThe assignment will take place back in the normal classroom. The Ss will draw and label thephases of the Moon. Mastery of this assessment requires the students to have 8 separate
drawings to include the New and Full Moon as well as 3 transitioning drawings of Waxing andWaning phases.
