• Led a team that created a SharePoint site and iPad mobile application for the Belk Visual Merchandising group that eliminated the constant printing and shipping of large binders to more than 300 Belk stores, and automated a manual entry process for purchase orders.

• Responsible for a team that developed an integrated solution between Belk’s Human Resources CRM system and PeopleSoft that resulted in an improved candidate experience and greatly enhanced reporting and analytic capabilities.

 

RED BRIDGE CONSULTING, Charlotte, NC 2011 - 2012Senior Project Manager (Client: Morehead Associates) Managed the development and implementation of new enterprise systems to support the company’s hospital consulting and survey business. Projects included development of a relational database, web portal, and content management system, and the implementation of a new survey platform using the Scrum methodology.  Worked with technical and operations staff to develop business and functional requirements.  Managed project plan, schedule, and resourcing.

AMERISOURCEBERGEN, Charlotte, NC 2009 – 2011Senior Project Manager Led the company’s first product development team working on the design, development, and implementation of a suite of enterprise system applications for pharmaceutical services.  Projects included upgrades and enhancements to the core SQL database and multiple web portals, as well as the development of additional new web applications to increase service offerings.  Managed the design team of business analysts, architects, developers and product consultants in identifying project scope, prioritizing features, and completing business, functional, and technical requirements.

  THE TRIZETTO GROUP, Newport Beach, CA 2008 - 2009Manager, Professional Services Responsible for leading the implementation of the TriZetto suite of software products at major health plans, including the Facets claims processing system, provider pricing applications, Medicare data warehouse, and web portals, as well as custom interface development. Responsible for project budget, resourcing, executive reporting, project plan development and maintenance, and client relations.

• Successfully managed a $90 million project with more than 85 internal and contractor staff at one of the largest Blue Cross health plans in the country. 

• After assignment to the project, brought it from six months behind schedule to successfully meet the client’s go live date.

LIFEMASTERS SUPPORTED SELFCARE, San Francisco, CA 2007 - 2008Senior Project Manager Responsible for the implementation of new commercial and Medicare insurance clients, and the production support of existing commercial accounts. Worked with clients and operations staff to identify appropriate disease management candidates from submitted claims data.

• Designed workflows and procedures for the addition of new diseases and for client data processing procedures.

KAISER PERMANENTE, Oakland CA 2003 - 2007Senior Project Manager, National Compliance, Ethics & Integrity Office Led the development of the first ever compliance standards for Kaiser Permanente clinical departments.  These clinical toolkits allowed hospital executive staff and department directors to evaluate their compliance with laws governing the delivery of patient care.  Modules included staff qualifications and licensure, scope of practice, medical necessity, orders, supervision and billing.

• Developed on-line and instructor-led training for all Kaiser clinical staff.• Conducted on-site compliance risk assessments of clinical departments at Kaiser hospitals and medical

centers. 

 Senior Project Manager, Claims Shared Services Organization, Silver Spring, MD Led two Kaiser regions in the implementation of the Diamond claims processing system, and the successful reengineering of their business operations to support the system. Managed the development of the requirements for the entire functional platform.  Worked with the regions to put into operation industry best practices and ensure HIPAA and CMS compliance.

• Developed more than two hundred end-to-end processes and workflows, covering initial receipt of a claim through completion of provider payment.

  CALIBER ASSOCIATES, Fairfax, VA 2000 - 2003Team Manager 

• Directed the development of web portals and data warehouses for the Federal Department of Health and Human Services.  Worked with client departments and internal IT team on site design, architecture, functionality, and content.
