How to PlayStep 1 To begin, the teacher will be the narrator.

7Teacher will pass out cards. KEEP CARDS SECRET!

Step 2Students go to sleep and must hide their eyes.8You might be police, mafia or townsperson.

Step 3Teacher (narrator) chooses the cast (mafia, doctor, police) by first announcing the students roles one by one and then touching them on the back. If any student peeks at any stage, then the game must start again. Note: Poker cards depicting each role can be dealt K mafia (usually 2, up to 4), Q doctor (1), J police (1) and numbered cards as citizens but cards might be difficult to get back if playing with young children. In this case, Ss must keep their cards hidden, not revealing them to their neighbor.9 At night, everyone closes eyes...

Step 4If teacher says your group, open eyes.After each role has been assigned, the T asks the mafia members to open their eyes to see who their partner(s) are.10For Mafia, you point at 1 person to kill.Step 511For police, you point at 1 person to be maybe Mafia.

Write students names on the board who are chosen as suspects. The 2-3 frequently called names will be voted on by their peers to see if they are guilty or not.32Lets take a vote.

If the student is voted out, they reveal if they citizen or Mafia.34You were saved.
