Top of the pops is a music magazine who’s target audience is teenagers. We know that this magazine is for teenagers before looking inside because of the masthead. The soft round font in a bubble writing style reflects younger teens because of how its fun and playful. Not only that but the curved edges look like they hold innocence as they are childlike compared to the harsh sharp edges of NME’s magazine.

KERRANG!’s magazine is for the Rock genre, we can tell this by looking at the masthead. The masthead reflects Rock singers and bands because of the grungy look it has to it. Not only that but it looks as if a glass window has been smashed, this could reflect the music of the Rock genre as it is loud, very guitar orientated and can sometimes sound quite violent. The music is so loud that it could ‘break glass’.

This Country Music music magazine is based on Country as a genre of music, as said in the masthead. However, if the masthead did not say the genre of the magazine we could tell by the font. The extended letters used as an underline are very typical of Country music as on many albums they have this effect. Also the curls in the font show that this magazine is for country music along with the flicks, this could resemble country dancing.
