Magnetic Tape – The Ultimate Adhesive

Magnetic tape can be used in many different ways around your home, work or school. On the front of magnetic tape there is an adhesive face and on the back a magnetic face, meaning that you can stick the magnet to a number of surfaces. Magnetic tape is thin, flexible, versatile and affordable, which makes it useful for a number of applications.

Of course Martha Stewart has created an excellent household use for magnetic tape – by adding it to your dustpan. All you do is stick a piece of magnetic tape at the back of your dustpan (the end closest to the handle) and then when you sweep up your floors you can easily trap any nails, screws or other small metal objects that have found their way onto the floor. Match pole magnetic tape is a slightly different form of adhesive magnetic tape, which is made for applications where you have magnet attaching to magnet. Match pole magnetic tape works by having one roll magnetized as “side A” and the other roll magnetized as “side B”.

A third type of adhesive magnetic tape is high energy magnetic tape, which is used for more powerful applications. High energy magnetic tape has almost twice the magnetic pull strength as regular magnetic tape, making it perfect for industrial applications or heavy duty usage.
