v Board Practical Examinations for class XII Science, Commerce and Art streams were conducted from 24th January-14th February, 2019.

v Annual Examination for classes VI-IX and XI were conducted from 25th February-13th March, 2019 and 25th February-14th March, 2019 respectively.

v 181 students of class XII appeared for All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) conducted by CBSE from 15th February-4th April, 2019.

v 211 students of class X took All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) contacted by CBSE from 7th March-29th March, 2019.

v PTM for classes VI-IX/XI was conducted on 25th March, 2019 and 27th March, 2019 respectively.

v Tanishka Gupta (IX) won a Gold Medal in Mathematics Olympiad whereas Mishika Parikh (VIII) bagged a Gold Medal in Colouring Competition organized by Pentasoft Olympiad-2018-19 held at MMPS.

v Article on ‘Be aware of the Current Events for Essay Writ ing in Hindi Examination’ by Dr Lori Paliwal(Head of Department, Hindi) and Article on the Topic ‘In Letter Writing, be sure of Content and Matras’ by Zenab Sabunwala (X) were published in e Times of India, Jaipur on 4th March, 2019.

v International Mathematics Olympiad 2018-19 organized by Science Olympiad Foundation is as follows:

v Udaipur World Music Festival, 2019 conceptualized and organized by SEHER, an organization involved in various kinds of cultural activities was hosted by MMPS on 16th February, 2019. is festival has been enthralling music connoisseurs by bringing artists from multiple cultural backgrounds and presenting music of different genres. e students were spell bound by an exclusive Israeli Gulaza Concert presented by Mr Igal Gulaza Mizrahi (Vocalist) accompanied by Ms Leat Sabbah (Cellist), Mr Yair Hashachar (Guitarist) and Mr David Dagmi (Percussion & Jumbush Artist). ey sang Yemenite Women Songs of longing and despair that have historical importance and had an interaction with the Members of INTACH Heritage Club, MMPS.

v Filled with curiosity and zeal, the students of class XI gathered to bid Farewell for the outgoing students of class XII on 16th February, 2019. e day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers and to reminisce the joyous moments which was followed by Lunch. In the Valedictory Ceremony the Students’ Council passed the baton to the class XI Learning Council.

v Cultural Eve of Maharana Mewar Foundation 37th Annual Awards Distribution Ceremony-2018 was conducted at e Manek Chowk, e City Palace, Udaipur on 10th March, 2019. Padma Shree, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan Dr Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan, an Indian Space Scientist and former Head of Indian Space Research Organization was the Guest of Honour. e students who were felicitated with Fateh Singh Award by Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Chairman and Managing Trustee,

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation are as follows:

v Ms Parul Mehta (PGT, English) attended a 2-day Workshop on 8th-9th February, 2019 organized by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on ‘Master Training in English (XII) through its Centre of Excellence’ at GD Goenka International School, Udaipur. Ms Cherry Goyal from Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School, Jaipur and Mr Rajan Sharma from Birla Public School, Pilani apprised the teachers with the Language Skills i.e. Reading, Writing, Listening & Speaking, latest changes in English, the usage of Bloom’s Taxonomy while framing question papers and innovative ways to teach English in class. e Session saw the presence of participants from across Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. e Closing Ceremony was graced by Ms Niyat i Sharma (Deputy Superintendent Traffic Police, Udaipur).

v On the occasion of the 68th Foundation Day of Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, the Members of Indian National Trust for Art & Cultural Heritage (INTACH) Heritage Club of MMPS accompanied by Ms Pratima Paliwal, In-charge, INTACH visited Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, Udaipur on 28th February, 2019. e programme was organized in the memory of Padma Shree Late Devilal Samar from 22nd February-2nd March, 2019 and encompassed Lokanuranjan Mela, Shilp Mela and 15th Drama Festival. e students witnessed Drama, ‘Reflection Unknown’ presented by Bhartendu Natya Academy, Rang Mandal, Lucknow and got an insight of diverse Crafts and Dance forms of India.

v 32 Members of Road Safety Club and Scouts & Guides attended the Inaugural Ceremony of National Road Safety Week at Community Hall, Police Line, Udaipur on 4th February, 2019. On this occasion, MMPS Road Safety Club received the Best Club Award. A self-composed Poem and a Song on the eme ‘Road Safety-Life Saving’ were presented by Naman Sukhwal (XI) and Yash Bhatnagar (XI).

v On the occasion of the Closing Ceremony of 30th National Road Safety Week, students of MMPS took part in a Poster Making and Road Safety Slogan Writing Competition at Mohan Lal Sukhadia University Campus, Udaipur on 11th February, 2019.

v Kavya Bhansali(VIII), Khushi Ahlawat (VII ) and Vrinda Arora(VI) received Prizes as the Best Entry for Young INTACH Newsletter, ‘e Snake Saga’(January-March, 2019 Issue).

v 20 Members of Indian National Trust for Art & Cultural Heritage (INTACH) Heritage Club, MMPS accompanied by Ms Pratima Paliwal, In-charge, INTACH had a wonderful Educational Trip at Sanjay Garden, Udaipur for Bird Watching on 16th February , 2019 with the aim to create awareness about the need for protection of birds. e students were briefed about the residents and migratory birds. Mr SK Verma, Principal Convener, INTACH Udaipur Heritage Chapter, Mr Sohail Majboor, Deputy Forest Conservator , Udaipur, Mr Devendra Shrimali, Mr Akshat Khamesra, Mr Vidhan (Experts & Wild Lifers) helped them in identifying the birds at Fateh Sagar, Udaipur.

Udaipur Chapter in collaboration with Hindustan Zinc Limited, Udaipur from 19th-21st February, 2019 at Ayad Museum, Department of Archaeology & Museum, Government of Rajasthan, Udaipur. He received a Certificate, Memento and a Cash Prize of Rs 500/-. Eight students participated in the same.

v Akshat Gopal Soni (VIII) bagged an Appreciation Prize for his Creative Photograph in the Rajasthan Heritage Photo Competition-2019 organized by Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH)

v Nine Teachers of MMPS attended a Training Programme conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education at St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 14, Udaipur on 11th February, 2019. Mr George A omas, Director Academics, e Study Senior Secondary School, Udaipur dealt with the Revised Scheme of Spot Evaluation of Annual Examination-2019 and Conduction of Examination in all fairness.

v A Capacity Building Programme organized by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on ‘Life Skills’ was conducted at MMPS on 27th February, 2019. Mr

George A omas, Director Academics, e Study Senior Secondary School, Udaipur and Mr Puneet Sharma, Principal, Aryan Public School, Ajmer dealt with the significance of essential Life Skills to develop a greater sense of self-awareness & appreciation for others and cope with the increasing pace & changes of modern life to deal with stress and frustration. 48 Teachers from Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh including Ms Poonam Rathore (TGT, English) and Ms Heena Taldar (TGT, Mathematics) from MMPS attended the Session.

v On the 162nd Birth Anniversary of Lord Baden Powell, the Founder of the World Scouting Movement, the Scouts & Guides of MMPS led by e Principal, Mr Sanjay Datta paid a humble tribute to the Legend at the School Premises on 22nd February, 2019. e students took an oath to dedicate their lives to the country and sang Scout Flag Song in unison. In his address, e Principal gave an insight about the benefits of Scouting to act in consideration of the needs of others & develop and use their abilities to the betterment of themselves and the country.

v 4 Scouts and 7 Guides accompanied by Ms Poonam Rathore (Guide Leader) attended the Rajyapal Award Ceremony held at Jaipur from 27th-29th March, 2019 wherein they were awarded the Certificates signed by the Governor. Retd. General Madhvendra Singh Shekhawat graced the occasion. ey also participated in the cultural and adventurous activities.

v Mr Sujit Kumar, a Member of Indian National Hockey Team along with his wife visited MMPS on 26th March, 2019. He was highly impressed by the Academics, Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities carried out in the school.

v Parshvi Chittora (VII) clinched a Gold Medal in Kumite and got selected for the National Level while Siddhartha Bhansali (VIII) won a Bronze Medal in Kata and Charvi Agrawal (VI) received the Bronze Medal in Kumite in Rajasthan State Karate Championship-2019 (Sub-Junior Category) organized by State Karate Association of India, Jaipur held at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur from 2nd-3rd February, 2019.

v Mr Manoj Kumar Ameta (Scout Leader) cleared Himalaya Wood Badge Course, a Scouting Leadership Programme under the aegis of Rajasthan Rajya Bharat Scouts and Guides National Training Centre, Pachmarhi held at e Scouts & Guides Headquarters, Jagatpura, Jaipur from 1st-7th February, 2019. It aims at making better Scout Leaders by teaching advanced leadership skills and creating a bond and commitment to the Scout Movement. During the training, he was armed with the Community Development Project, Flag Etiquettes, Baden Powell Six Exercises, Monkey Bridge, First Aid along with Oral and Written Examination and adventure activities. Additional Chief Secretary and State Chief Commissioner JC Mohanti, State Commissioner Raghuveer Singh Shekhawat, State Training Commissioner, Headquarter Commissioner Vinod Kumar Sharma and Mr Abhay Singh Shekhawat, Leader Trainer graced the occasion.

v Mahiraj Singh Baghela (IX) and Dhruvraj Singh Baghela (VIII) attended the 10th National and 3rd South Asian Association National Scout Organization (SAANSO), Jamboree organized by Rajasthan Rajya Bharat Scouts & Guides State Headquarters, Jaipur held at Bangladesh from 8th - 14th March, 2019 with the aim to strengthen and promote peace, solidarity and cooperation among youth by providing them the opportunities to get closer and engage in various activities and fostering friendship and cultural exchange through Scouting. e Scouts underwent Flag Etiquettes, Community Development Project, Baden Powell Six Exercises, Monkey Bridge, First Aid along with Oral and Written Examination and adventure activities.13000 Scouts & Guides representing South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Nations and others participated.
