 A practice of vendor registration and brand/make approvals was followed  in 

previous  period.  Accordingly  a  list  of  approved  makes  for  various  equipments  & 

materials used for MIDC works was finalized & circulated to incorporate in MIDC tender 

documents vide above referred circulars.  

There after number of manufacturers/ vendors approached MIDC offices for 

brand approvals. To streamline such requests, a process of calling Expression of Interest 

(EoI)  is followed by  issuing public notice  in newspapers, as well as on MIDC’s website. 

Various vendors/ manufacturers have submitted their applications, which are evaluated 

&  found  acceptable.  However,  it  is  noticed  that  there  are  large  no.  of  vendors  or 

manufacturers available  in market, which  can  supply equipments or materials as per 

specifications confirming relevant standards. 

In  view  of  above  and  to  have  uniformity,  as well  as wide  participation  of 

manufacturers/ vendors, it is now decided as follows… 

1. Makes/Brands  of  following  major  equipments  are  approved  till  further  revisions  / 

amendments.

In case any manufacturer/vendor other than above,  intends to get registered  in 

list  of  approved  makes  for  equipment/materials  mentioned  above,  will  have  to  apply 

through EoI process. Necessary application form shall be available all time on MIDC portal. 

Credentials of applicant manufacturer/vendor shall be got verified from any of appointed 

Third party agency. Decision to include such makes/ brands shall be taken by MIDC. 

2. All  other  Equipments/Materials  (excluding  in  Table‐1  above)  confirming  to  relevant 

standard specifications i.e. IS / ISO / ASTM / International standard shall be acceptable for 

all works or  supply  contracts. Specifications  for all  such  items  should be  incorporated  in 

tender  documents.  As  such,  there  is  no  need  to mention  any make/  brand  for  these 

equipments/ materials in tender documents hereafter. 

3. It  is  proposed  to  keep  performance  record  of  all  such  used  equipments/  materials 

(mentioned at sr. no. 1&2 above) after completion of work till defect liability period.      It is 

mandatory on part of concerned Executive Engineer to maintain such record & any adverse 

performance  report  should be  submitted  to CE(HQ)  through proper channel  to  review & 

discontinue such make / brand for particular item. 

4. Present practice of Third party inspection adopted for tenders shall be continued. 

5. The  approved  makes  list  of  above  mentioned  equipments/materials  (Table‐1)  shall  be 

included  as  a  standard  document/attachment  to  frame  DTPs  &  tender  agreements  on 

WMS. (As attached) 

6. These  amendments  are  applicable  with  immediate  effect  including  all  current  tenders 

published on website, where reply to queries is yet to be given.  

7. Deviations/Restrictions  to  include  all/any  approved make  in  case  of  specific/  important 

work shall be with the approvals of CEO. 

8. This circular supersedes all earlier circulars on the above subject. 

  This circular is issued with the approval of CEO, MIDC.
