• We all have participated in the creation of the 2015 QEP Proposal that includes a focus on Information Literacy, we are working to create CETL (Center for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning) Workshops, we attend all faculty meetings, and attend a variety of campus events.

Liaison ProgramDepartments and programs have a dedicated librarian who communicates with faculty regularly for instruction and collection needs. While we have no statistical evidence, faculty has responded well and bonds have been made over these relationships.

Current Event DisplaysWe regularly create displays in the lobby relevant to on-campus events like theatrical or music productions and for current events in the world.

Study SpacesThe Library opened up two additional study rooms. Since the first room was opened on 11/21/14, the two rooms have seen 100 checkouts. All study rooms have 128 combined checkouts since 11/21/14.

EventsPrior to Fall 2014, the Library had no history of hosting activities for the College community. As a team, we decided that fun and diverse events could raise the Library's profile and attract new users.

Thus far, events have primarily attracted groups of 10-20 traditional college age students. However, we did see faculty and staff participation in the Halloween costume contest held last year. Notably, Knitting 101 brought a group of faculty and staff into the Library after work hours!

Expanded Instruction• In Fall 2014 (the most recent Fall semester with available

statistics) we saw the most sessions we've seen since we've been keeping statistics. A 91% increase in sessions from Fall 2012 and a 69% increase in reach.

• In Spring 2015, we saw a 66% increase in the number of instruction sessions compared to Spring 2013. We also had a 44% increase in student reach.

• In Summer 2015 we doubled our summer instruction sessions, going from 3 in Summer 2014 to 6 in summer 2015. Reach for summer increased 141%!

LibGuidesSummer 2015, the library subscribed to LibGuides. We’ve created guides for general library information, academic departments, and for most Fall instruction sessions. Since July, our guides have almost 4,000 views.

DVD and Recreational Reading Collections

BooksThe Library added over 1,500 plays and print books about theatre. These were plays donated by the Theatre Department.

CollectionsWe created Graphic Novel and Recreational Reading Collections. The Library also opened up and expanded the DVDs. These changes account for over 140 donations and an increase in circulation transactions of over 100 a year.

In the last couple of years the Library has expanded its Holocaust collection into a semi-museum adding over 400 book donations, historically significant furniture, and a Dali print in remembrance of Holocaust victims.

E-books & E-resourcesThe Library added nearly 1,000 open-access Christian classic e-books from the Christian Classics Ethereal Library. These books are generally considered classic or shed light on the widely-recognized classics. The Library also added 1,395 open-access Metropolitan Museum of Art Publications. This includes titles from the collections of The Metropolitan Museum Libraries and Metropolitan Museum Archives.
