    Banala mmligu poate deveni un medicament folositor n tratarea rcelilor ia pietrelor la fiere

    Mlaiul este un nlocuitor de ndejde al produselor de panificaie, numit de

    specialiti "prietenul intestinului subire". Dispreuit pe nedrept, acest

    medicament tradiional aduce numai beneficii att omului sntos, ct i

    Un aliment tradiional cum e mmliga a fost de multe ori subiect de

    cercetare al specialitilor, fr a i se putea gsi o contraindicaie. Fierturile

    de porumb au fost apreciate nc din vremea lui Columb, dar, ulterior, auajuns s fie considerate hrana sracilor. Studiile recente au scos n eviden

    faptul c media de via a triburilor amerindiene care se hrneau cu porumb

    unele substane toxice. Efectul detoxifiant al substanelor din porumb

    uureaz efortul ficatului de neutralizare a substanelor toxice, reducndconsiderabil riscul la insuficiene i ciroze hepatice. La populaiile unde se

    Pentru urcior: se pune mmliga cald pe pleoape, schimbnd-o ct se poate

    de des. n caz de lipom, se poate face un tratament cu cataplasme cu

    mmlig tare.

    Se pune n strat de 3- 4 cm pe locul lipomului, avnd grij ca partea carevine n contact cu pielea s fie presrat cu tmie fin pisat, aa cum se

    pune sare pe o felie de pine cu unt. Se aplic fierbinte, ct suport pielea, i

    se acoper cu un obiect de ln, pentru a menine temperatura local

    ridicat.

    Tratamentul se face n fiecare sear i se ine pn se rcete mmliga.

    Mmligua e util i celor care sufer de obezitate, deoarece acest aliment

    confer o senzaie de saietate extrem de rapid, datorit fibrelor alimentare

    din compoziia sa.

    porumb, anumite probleme generate de hipotiroidie, cum ar fi ngrarea,

    somnolena, lipsa de tonus fizic i mental, sunt reduse considerabil. Gastrita

    . n mod tradiional, mlaiul se poate prepara n multe feluri: turt n spuz,

    mlai n est (mlia), mlai n tav, terci, psat, bulz, chitac, cocru.

    Porumbul ca atare se mai mnnc i fiert (n oal), fript (la spuz) sau fcutfloricele (la tigaie). Mmliga e i ea de dou feluri: pripit i fiart. Pe cea

    pripit o mnnc mai mult orenii si se prepar punnd mlai puin cte

    puin n apa srat fierbinte, aa nct mmliga s fiarb n mod egal toat.

    Fierberea dureaz mai puin dect la mmliga vrtoas, preferat mai mult

    la ar . n acest caz, mlaiul se pune tot dintr-odat n apa srat, se las s
