VIRTUAL ACCESS

SMART NETWORK SOLUTIONSFOR SERVICE PROVIDERS

Managed ATM Connectivity

RequirementOne of UK's premier independent automated cash machine (ATM) operators communicates customer transacti on data to and from its UK network of ATMs. The data network needed to keep each ATM in two-way communicati on with the merchant acquirer's data centre. Important requirements were near 100% machine availability, Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, fast and highly secure transacti ons, automated deployment by staff without router knowledge, monitoring, historical reporti ng so that trouble shooti ng staff could review fault complaints relati ng to issue that are days or more old.

Virtual Access SolutionThe Virtual Access M2M Criti cal Applicati on Connecti vity soluti on avoids a single point of communicati ons failure by providing dual path DSL/wireless using the GW6000 Series routers or dual SIM communicati ons using the GW2000 Series routers. The transacti on archiving/reporti ng and transacti on monitoring applicati ons gave the bank visibility on issues such as transacti on delay and quality with confi gurable alarms on important system parameters such as signal strength. The historical archive meant that the operati ons team could review data relati ng to customer fault reports on issues that occurred days or weeks ago which previously was diffi cult or not possible.

Acti vator was used to automati cally provision the routers and OSS integrator enabled seamless integrati on with deployment, logisti cs, billing and monitoring systems.
