Introduction:-
Mangalore one of the fastest growing cities in India which
is located at coastal region of Karnataka. The only city in Karnataka to
have three modes of transportation i.e. Air, water and land ways.
Mangalore city which is also known for many attractive
tourist locations like beaches, religious spots, institutions and eye-
catching nature’s beauty. It is also seeing a rapid growth industrialisation
and information technology.
Marketing is all about creating value for customers. So, as
the first step in the marketing process, the company must fully understand
consumers and the market place in which it operates.
MERU CABS has a tremendous opportunity to grow in
Mangalore in taxi sector. Adoption of strategies according to the market
location will surely guide the company to success in the particular
location.
PROMOTIONAL STRATEGIES:-
1. POSTERS AND BANNERS: - Posters and Banners had to be used
in the locations where people gathers like beach and at the road side
near the city where huge crowds are available ex:- railway station,
bus stand, etc.
2. ADVERTISEMENTS IN LOCAL CHANNELS:- Advertisements in the
local channels like namma TV , V4U .etc.,
3. SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES: - Promotional activities done in
social networks like Facebook and twitter in Mangalore page will be
really helpful for the publicity.
4. PAMPHLETS: - Pamphlets containing the entire details about the
service including phone numbers has to be distributed.
5. PROMOTION IN CARS: - promotional activities done in the
company’s own cab like name and phone no.44224422.
6. NEWSPAPER:- Advertisement in the local newspapers both
Kannada and English about the cabs
