Week 10 Thursday 13th December, 2012

PRESENTATION EVENING: WOW! What a fantastic evening! I was extremely proud of how

well the Year 6 children ran the event. Thank you Mrs Hage for all your hard work.

Congratulations on your singing it sounded great. Thank you Miss Jago for your expertise

in this area. As usual Mrs Davidson did a bang-up job on the keyboard. I wish I could play

half as well as you. Thank you to all the special guests, parents, community members and

students who attened, we appreciate your continued support. And finally, thank you to

Miss Sando for running the creche for us.

MRS PATTISON: We wish Mrs Pattison every success with her transfer to Goulburn East PS.

Mrs Pattison has been a much valued classroom teacher, STLA and Reading Recovery

teacher and member of staff here at Marulan for the past twelve years. You will be

greatly missed Mrs P.

REPORTS: Due to unforseen circumstances, unfortunately all reports will not be printed by

tomorrow. We hope to have them sent out to parents / caregivers on Monday.

GOLD EXCURSION: Next Monday children who achieved Gold level will be going to

Mittagong to participate in bowling. (Full school uniform to be worn). If your child

reached gold level and will be attending the excursion, please ensure your permission

note and payment is returned to school no later than tomorrow. We need to confirm

numbers with the complex by midday. If you do not pay by tomorrow, you will not be able

to attend.

BBQ LUNCH: Next Monday ALL children will be treated to one free sausage sandwich for

lunch. If your child does not wish to have a sausage sandwich, please send a packed

lunch from home as Lucky 7 will not be providing lunch orders on Monday.

YEAR 6 DINNER AND FAREWELL DISCO: Year 6 students will be greeted by MPS staff outside

the Terminus Bistro at 4.50pm for their photographs to be taken. We will dine at 5.10pm

and return to school at 6pm for the disco.

All students K-5 are invited to attend the BBQ dinner and disco at the school from 5pm.

Please don’t come earlier and parents must accompany their children at all times

throughout the evening. This event will conclude at 8pm sharp. We appreciate your

assistance in this matter and we look forward to celebrating with Year 6 students.

MRS DARLING: Wishes everyone a happy and safe holiday and is looking forward to

returning at the beginning of 2013.

Magpie alert! We have a mother Maggie and her baby living near the Year 3-4 classroom. Children have been alerted to our sometimes unfriendly neighbour who has swooped some students and staff. Please reiterate the safety procedures with magpies. If she looks to be flying in your direction, don’t look away from the magpie and wave your arms, she will

fly away.
