My Faith is my Light

We acknowledge the traditional owners, the Turrbal people. We pay our respects to them. May we walk gently on this land. Updated December 2015

Building Fund The Building Fund is $340 per family per year and is 100% tax deductible for Australian taxpayers. It is charged at $85 per term. The Building Fund Donation is voluntary and is necessary for the provision of facilities for our students. Many College families support this scheme and by their participation, are keeping the other fees lower than would otherwise be the case. The College actively encourages every family to participate and contribute.

Additional payments may be made to the Building Fund at any time and would greatly assist in providing momentum in building and refurbishing College facilities. So, if you are looking to make a tax deductible contribution towards the end of the financial year, or at any time, please seriously consider supporting the College. Our modest and affordable fee structures mean that donations of this nature make an immense difference to our capacity to provide well resourced facilities for the students and staff. Families with Multiple Students Where a family has more than one student attending Mary MacKillop College, each additional student will receive a sibling discount of $200 from Tuition fees and $380 from the Capital Levy. For example, First child - Year 10 student $ 5,000 Second child - Year 7 student 5000 - 200 - 380 = $ 4,420 Building Fund Donation $ 340 Total for Family = $ 9,760 Discount for Early Payment The College offers a discount of $150 per student for those families who wish to settle the full year’s fees at once. The whole payment must be settled by the due date stated on Term 1 fees statement. The early payment discount is only available to families who incur the full fees. Please advise the Finance Secretary, Ms Madonna Matthews (email: [email protected]) of your intention. Billing System The College operates a termly billing system, with the fee statement being emailed to each family early in each term. Current trading term is 14 days from statement issue. Payment Options Fees may be paid by BPay, Direct Debit, Credit Card, EFTPOS, Cheque or Cash. Quarterly, Monthly, Fortnightly or Weekly payments can be paid by Direct Debit (Cheque, Savings or Visa/Mastercard).

In order to assist families in managing payment of school fees the College strongly encourages all families to setup a Direct Debit arrangement where school fees are periodically deducted from your nominated Bank Account or Credit Card, without any surcharge to the families.

To establish a Direct Debit arrangement, print and complete a Direct Debit form available on the College Website or the Parent Portal. Scan and email or drop the form back to the College. Refer to the table below for the instalment amount. Please contact the Finance Secretary, Ms Madonna Matthews with any questions, email: [email protected]

Overdue Accounts

The College operates in a spirit of mutual obligation, justice and respect between each family and the College. As a matter of respect to fellow families, the College is reliant upon families paying their tuition accounts in accordance with the College’s trading terms. Families who fall behind with their payments restrict the cash flow of the college, and as a consequence, compromise the delivery of the educational programs to our students.

Concessions *

Parents who find themselves in financial difficulties are required to apply to the College for a fee concession. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to contact the College’s Finance Department should such a concession be requested. As concessions are not granted retrospectively, it is important that families make an appointment as soon as it becomes apparent there will be difficulty in paying the tuition account. The Recurrent Cost Levy and the Capital Levy are not subject to any concession.

Student Withdrawal

If a family makes a decision to withdraw a student from the College, one full term’s notice must be given in writing to the Principal of the College. If the required notice is not given, one full term fees and levies will be charged in lieu of notice.

Your financial commitment is an important part of the life of the College and we thank you for your support and involvement.
