Our watches are made from the finest materials, such as our sapphire crystal fascias which can only be scratched by diamond. But to us, quality is more than skin deep. Inside, we use innovative materials too, such as “autolubrificant“ Silicium (Silicon) components. The result are movements so precise and so efficient, that they could run for 3,044 years on the same power as a TV left on standby for one night.

caliBre ML 134Masterpiece sQuelette

With its ML 134 manufacture movement in the Masterpiece Squelette, Maurice Lacroix has created a whole new concept for skeleton watches! This successful reinterpretation is revealed fi rst and foremost by the innovative, discrete decoration on the calibre: All bridges have a black-gold surface refi nement, which is set into sharp relief by the black coated screws, the red jewels and the goldplated wheels. The movement components have been manufactured and exceptionally and lavishly skeletonized in the brand’s own workshops.

caliBre ML 152Masterpiece lune retrOGrade

A worthy heir of the brand’s heritage in terms of retrograde and moon-phase mechanisms, the ML 152 manufacture movement joins the ranks of the ML 150 and ML 151 movements. Perfectly symmetrical, the power reserve and retrograde displays, positioned at 2 o’clock and at 10 o’clock, are mirror images of each other. The moon phase is displayed on a precisely calibrated celestial disc positioned at 6 o’clock. The arcs have been skeletonised for an ”industrial look”, while all unnecessary decor has been avoided. This timepiece is imbued with a geometric simplicity that galvanises its mechanical complexity.

caliBre ML 151Masterpiece dOuBle retrOGrade

Maurice Lacroix developed a complex mechanism, which permits stepping with the leastpossible power expenditure, for the two retro-grade indications in the Double Rétrograde – a date indication and a rare 24-hour indication for a second time zone. Within a 24-hour period or a month, the rotating parts and the spiral-shaped, wound, only 4/100 millimeter thick release spring is increasingly tightened until the hands reach the end of each indication fi eld. With the help of a non-geared site on the respective rotating part, the spring is able to release at this point and move the rotating part and hand back to its starting position at the 1.

The bridges in the ML 151 manufacture movement in the limited-edition Masterpiece Double Rétrograde are ball-peened, beveled and fi nally pink gold-plated. The number of the piece in the limited edition series is engraved in the ¾ bridge conceived by Maurice Lacroix.

caliBre ML 150Masterpiece calendrier retrOGrade

Maurice Lacroix pioneered new territory in the decoration and refi ned fi nish of the hand-wound ML 150 movement in the stainless-steel Masterpiece Calendrier Rétrograde: The elegant bridges have a black-gold surface fi nish and large, hand-executed spiral formed decoration.

For the retrograde date indication of the Calendrier Rétrograde, a delicate hand sweeps across a broad semi-circular segment. It jumps back to its starting position when it reaches the end. This indicator is controlled with the help of a complex mechanism especially developed for this calibre. An innovative differential mechanism allows the gear train of the sector-executed power reserve indication to turn in two directions: in one direction when the movement is wound with the crown and in the other when the movement is running. Positioned at 2 o’clock, this indicator shows the reserve power available to the ML 150 calibre and also provides symmetric balance on the watch dial for the small seconds hand at 6 o’clock.

caliBre ML 106-7/ML 106-2Masterpiece le chrOnOGraphe

The ML 106 chronograph movement is a superlative work and a true original. Moreover, with unique grande proportions for a wrist-watch chronograph – a full 36.6 millimetres in diameter – it is a genuine technical accomplishment. In this manufacture movement, a traditional column wheel controls the chronograph functions. The chronograph’s cinematic chain, however, has been reinterpreted completely by Maurice Lacroix. The most signifi cant innovation is the use of a release lever, which guarantees perfect functionality for delicate phases, such as starting and resetting, for which a patent application has also been submitted. In addition, the ML 106 has a rare and exceptionally complex watch-making challenge, the 60-minute counter.

The decoration of the manufacture movement has been perfectly adapted to the Masterpiece Le Chronographe: alternating polished and circular/vertical satin-brushed surfaces, which result in a perfectly fi nished and balanced design. Refi ned. Striking.
