It would not spin, but it would agitate and drain properly. When in spin cycle, it was very noisy as the belt was slipping. http://applianceguru.com/forum2/22222.html I took photos of the repair process. Maybe it'll help someone else. As a disclaimer, please be careful. You will be working with an electromechanical machine. There are moving parts and electrical connections. Unplug the machine before working on it to avoid personal injury, electric shock, electrocution, property damage, or any expense incurred by you through the use of these instructions. I had this problem with my Maytag Atlantis washer, Model MAV6260AWW. It would not spin, but it would agitate and drain properly. When in spin cycle, itwas very noisy as the belt was slipping.
