The latest version of McAfee ePO software, v4.6 features security management integration with McAfee SaaS SecurityCenter, allowing administrators to view summary reports from McAfee SecurityCenter on the McAfee ePO dashboard. If you have deployed security in a hybrid model (with some endpoints managed under SaaS and others managed on premises), this capability allows you to take advantage of a single integrated console to report on all of your endpoints.

SaaS only deployment: If you need to manage the endpoints of field employees or if you do not wish to dedicate server hardware to security functions, you can take advantage of SaaS management to monitor the protection status of endpoints.

On-premises only deployment: If you do have the IT resources and personnel to manage security and require customized reporting, you can deploy and manage security on-premises.

Hybrid approach: Unlike endpoint security solutions from other vendors, McAfee SMB Endpoint Protection Essentials allows you to use a hybrid deployment model to manage security with some endpoints managed on-premises and others managed from the cloud.
