McKinsey 7S

McKinsey 7S is an analytical technique used for evaluation of critical factors of the organization. It is mainly used in businesses.American consultants Anthony Athos, Richard Pascale, Tom Peters and Robert H. Waterman, Jr. from McKinsey & Companysuggested in late 70’s, seven-elements way of decomposition of the organization components:

Staff - goal-orinted community of peopleStrategy - definition of the group objectives and the way how to achieve themShared values - vision, mission, organizational cultureSkills - skills, knowledge, experienceStyle - characteristic way of acting, treating, behaviorStructure - the organizational structure of the groups, management steeringSystems - methods, procedures, processes, including technical systems,information systems and technology
