Purpose of this evening is to share information about:

• Curriculum for Excellence• Primary 4 curriculum• Learning and teaching approaches used in P4• Classroom routines and lunchtimes• Behaviour expectations• Homework• Parent – school partnership

Curriculum for Excellence

The ambition of Curriculum for Excellence is that all children and every young person will become:

Opportunities will be provided for young people to develop skills for learning, skills for life and skills for work

Writing• I can use adjectives to write a descriptive opening to my spooky weather story. Lunch• Calm Time• Project Work – Cooperative Learning Skill focus on Listening• Design and make display about the sun• Circle Time

Numeracy and Mathematics

• Cooperative Learning approach– Targeted to children’s needs
