of Boy Scouts and Girl Guides was held

on 23rd October, 2014. Senator Dr.

Saeeda Iqbal chaired the meeting. Mr.

Usman Pasha attended the meeting on

behalf of PBSA.

PROVINCIAL COUNCIL MEETING OF SINDH BSA

Provincial Council meeting of Sindh BSA

was held on 23rd October, 2014 at

Governor House, Karachi. H.E. Mr.

Ishrat ul Ebad Governor & Chief Scout

Sindh presided over the meeting. Mr.

Zahid Mahboob attended the meeting

on behalf of NHQ, PBSA.

Mr. Muhammad Siddique Memon was

unanimously elected as Provincial

Commissioner for further two years.

Syed Akhtar Meer was also given three

year contract to continue as Provincial

Secretary, Sindh BSA.

Financial Affairs of PBSA.

Audit Report 2013-14 and Budget 2014-

15 of PBSA were approved to be

presented in the forthcoming Executive

Committee meeting of PBSA.

Secretary PBSA also informed about the

approval of the project regarding

renovation and up gradation of Scout

Centre in Pakistan by the Boy Scouts of

America with the support of APR/WSB.

The house appreciated the efforts of

NHQ, APR/WSB and thanked BSA for

their Support.

1st meeting of National Adults in

Scouting Sub Committee of PBSA was

held on 20th October, 2014 at Lahore.

JAMBOREE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING ON 22 OCTOBER, 2014 AT PHQ, SINDH BSA Jamboree Finance Committee Meeting

was held on 22 October, 2014 at PHQ,

Sindh BSA. Mr. Anwar A. Zai, Deputy

Chief Commissioner, PBSA chaired the

meeting. The Budget of the Jamboree

was discussed in length and finalized

after some amendments.

COURSE FOR ASSISTANT LEADER TRAINERS Course for Assistant Leader Trainers

was held from 25th October to 1st

November, 2014 at Divisional Scouts

Headquarters, Rawalpindi in which 41

Wood Badge Beads Holder from Punjab

& Gilgit Baltistan participated. Mr. Tariq

Qureshi was the Course Leader. The

Core Team was consisted of Mr. Abdul

Samad Chishti, Mr. Abdullah Jehanzaib,

Mr. Adil Farooq, Mr. Liaqat Ali, Mr.

Ishfaq Malik & Mr. Aslam Ghuman.

AKYSB SCOUTS & GUIDES CAMPOREE Agha Khan Youth & Sports Board for

Pakistan organized a Campree for the

Rover Scouts & Guides. About 500

Youth participated and enhanced their

learning and understanding. The camp

was visted by National Commissioner &

National Secretary Pakistan Girl Guides

Association, National Secretary, PBSA

and other notable persons from the

community.

WOOD BADGE TRAINING COURSE OF GILGIT BALTISTAN BOY SCOUTS ASSOCIATION AT ALIABAD HUNZA FROM 12 TO 19 OCTOBER, 2014 Wood Badge Training Course was

conducted by Gilgit Baltistan Boy

Scouts Association at Aliabad Hunza

from 12 to 19 October, 2014.

Scouts from Gilgit Baltistan

participated and declared successful.

Jamboree activities and to observe the

developmental work at Jamboree

venue was held on 25 October, 2014 at

Khairpur Mirs Sindh. Syed Akhtar Meer,

Jamboree Secretary, Mr. Zahid

Mahboob, Jamboree Programme

Director, Mr. Asif mahmood, Mr. Khalid

Mahmood and other Scout Leaders

were briefed by Syed Abli Ali Shah,

Jamboree Coordinator. Sub Camp

locations & activity site plan was

finalized. Participants also visited Scout

Park, where some of the Jamboree

activities will take place.

in the Relief & Rehabilitation activities

for the IDPs of flood affected people.

Provision of food packets to 120

families was one of the main

programme in which all the general

items for survival were included (e.g.

beans, dry milk, sugar, rice, oil, spices,

were linked with the World on 18-19,

October, 2014 for Jamboree on the

activity. Scouts from Agriculture

University Faisalabad, Karachi, Quetta,

Sialkot & Rawalpindi have reported

their activities.

DENGUE SPRAY BY THE ROVERS OF PAK. RAILWAYS BSA

Under the supervision of Pak. Railways

BSA, a peaceful walk against Dengue

Virus was organized at Lahore for

awareness.

the World focuses on three main topics

peace, environment and social

development that require

understanding, abilities and knowledge

Pakistan Delegation ensured to

implement Scouts of the World Award

in Pakistan soon. Initiatives have

already been taken in this regard.

CONFLICT SENSITIVE EDUCATION TRAINING ON 29-30 OCTOBER, 2014

UNICEF Pakistan & Save the Children

organized two days training in INEE

conflict sensitive Education from 29-30

October, 2014 at Islamabad. The

training was attended by Mr. Zahid

Mahboob, Acting Secretary, PBSA. This

training would be helpful to review and

update youth Programme of PBSA.

MATTA SCOUT ACTIVITIES An outdoor Unit meeting of MATTA

Scouts was held on 8 October, 2014 at

the Khadzai, Lower Deer. Scouts

cooked their food and enjoyed the

springs, waterfall and the beautiful area

of lower deer.

MEETING OF OPEN DISTRICT BSA A meeting of the Open District of Sindh

BSA was held at PHQ, Sindh BSA on 23rd

October, 2014. Prof. Mion Azhar

presided over the meeting. Mr. Hassan

Feroze, Syed Akhtar Meer & Mr. Zahid

Mahboob were also invited to address

the audience. Social Service Programme

during the month of Muharram ul

Harram was discussed and finalized in

the meeting.

CONDOLENCE

Wife of Qazi Zahoor ul Hassan, Former

Secretary Punjab & Pakistan Boy Scouts

Association passed away. She died

during her treatment in America.

We pray that departed soul may rest in

Heaven and Almighty Allah give courage

to Qazi Zahoor and his family to bear

this irreparable loss. (Aameen)
