• Multimeter– Continuity– Voltage– Resistance– RPM, DC

• Oscilloscope– Crank/Cam Position signals– Actuators (Injectors, Ignition)

Project Roles

• Electronics and Tuning• Chassis• Engine/Mechanical• Project Management / Crew Chief• Driver (if absolutely necessary)• You might be all of these but the responsibilities are the same!

Testing

• Bench– JimStim!

• Dynamometer– Ignition – full RPM and load range– Fuel system– leaks, weird behavior, heat soak, etc.

• Limited testing– Datalogs – prior runs or ECUs
