The MeLCat Interloan system will be temporarily unavailable until January 2016. The MeLCat servers are being moved to a new host site and upgraded. Due to the complexity of the traffic flow between the affected servers, it was determined that a temporary complete shutdown would result in the fewest problems. Now that the second egress is complete, we are ready to begin Phase II of the lower level renovation project. What we will accomplish in this phase is to increase the flexibility of the meet-ing spaces to accommodate increased usage by the

community, add a barrier free bathroom, create storage for tables and chairs, upgrade technology to enhance our meet-ing spaces and modernize the 1960s environment. It is an exciting time for the TDL and our community! We appreciate your patience as we work to make the library better suited to the way you want to use it. It is going to be great!!

Thank you to the Friends of the Library for the purchase of new computers in the Reference area. The Friends of the Library bookstore has temporarily relocat-ed due to the Library renovation project. They are located directly across the street from the Library

Book sales will continue to be on the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. — 2 p.m. Meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Library.

Tecumseh District Library is offering a brand new coloring club for adults only. We supply the adult level coloring pages and colored pencils; please feel free to bring snacks for yourself or for the group. The club will meet on the first Monday of eve-ry month from 6 pm -7:45 pm. Coloring has been used as a relaxation technique since the early 20th century. One of the first psychologists to use color-ing as a de-stressor was Carl Jung. Coloring causes us to de-stress because when we focus on that activity, we aren’t so focused on our worries. It also brings out our creative side and takes us back to our child-
