Date: March 14, 2018 To: All Business/Travel Offices Business Service Officers/Relocation Coordinators From: TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT 707 3RD Street, 2nd Floor West Sacramento, CA 95605-2811 (916) 376-1888 Subject: STATE LIST OF ELIGIBLE HOUSEHOLD GOODS CARRIERS The attached State List of Eligible Household Goods (HHG) Carriers supersedes all previously published household goods carrier lists. Each carrier shown on this list has filed a Transportation Rate Agreement/HHG (TRA/HHG) for Services and Rates to transport used household goods for the account of the State of California. The agreements are applicable only on shipments between points in California, where the carrier executes the Moving Service Authorization, Standard Form 255, Part II. A copy of this memorandum should be furnished to each officer of employee at the time of the issuance of the Moving Service Authorization and the Department of General Services Moving Guide. The officer of employee should select a carrier of their choice from this list. Request the carrier to inspect the goods to be shipped and provide the State officer or employee with the written, dated and signed form known as Basis for Carriers Estimated Cost of Services and Estimated Cost of Services. Realizing that the basic allowance is 11,000 pounds, the state officer or employee should stress the carriers estimated weight be shown on it Estimated Cost of Services, be computed as accurately as possible. DO NOT OBTAIN COMPETITIVE BIDS from several carriers, as this is neither required nor desired. However, an employee may look to another listed carrier in the event the carrier initially selected does not appear to meet the desired standards. STATE LIST OF ELIGIBLE HOUSEHOLD GOODS CARRIERS

Each of the carriers listed herein has on file with Transportation Management, a Transportation Rate Agreement (TRA/HHG) for transportation of used household goods. By signing Part II of the Moving Service Authorization, Std. Form 255, the listed carrier agrees to perform transportation and accessorial services for you as an employee of the State of California in accordance with the provisions of the Transportation Rate Agreement/HHG. CONSULT THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES MOVING GUIDE FOR INSTRUCTION ON SELECTING A CARRIER FROM THIS LIST. The carriers are listed alphabetically by locations of the carriers.
