Men’s / Children Camp-Out
Saturday, October 14th, 2017
at the Jones’ Property in Elkton, MD
All BFCN Family and Friends Are Welcome!!
When: Arrive at the Jones’ farm ANY TIME on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 14th) and plan to spend the night – or just come for the afternoon/evening. A HUGE bonfire is included on Saturday evening about 7:00. Sunday morning includes an informal time of worship around the fire, led by Doug Wasgatt. All from BFCN are welcome to come for the bonfire!
Where: The Jones’ farm in Elkton, MD – 165 Huminski Road, Elkton, MD 21921 Directions: Take Elkton Road (Rt. 279 into MD until it hits Rt. 40) and go straight across Rt. 40 onto MD Rt. 7 (High’s Gas Station on corner). Take first LEFT onto Old Elk Neck Road. Go about one-half mile (over the Amtrak RR tracks) and make second right onto Huminski Road. Follow to end of lane and enter through gate onto the property. A sign above gate says, “THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD.” Once on the prop-erty, go straight ahead, pass the white house, and proceed down the hill toward the woods w/ a small road heading left through some trees to the camping area. (Alternate: Of course you could just take Rt. 40 into Elkton and turn left onto MD Rt. 7 at the High’s Gas Station)
What to Bring: Tent / sleeping bag / flashlight / camping gear Note: A clean port-a-pot facility will be available. Food: The church will provide hot dogs, buns, and ketchup and mustard for supper on Saturday evening. The church will provide bagels and cream cheese for breakfast Sunday. We will have a large cooler of something cold to drink (i.e. water or lemonade). – Plastic ware, cups, and napkins provided too. Other than the above, any other personal food you want to have, you are responsible to bring it!
