• All obsolete EconoTRAN P/Ns begin with “E”– EF1K0BTZ13

Page 25: Micron Transformers

GlobalTRAN

• GlobalTRAN is built in ImperviTRAN construction.

Page 26: Micron Transformers

Frequency

• ImperviTRAN designs are rated at 50/60 Hertz (Hz).

• A 50Hz rated device can operate at 60Hz but a 60Hz device can’t operate at 50Hz.– A device can always operate at a frequency higher

than nameplate.

Page 27: Micron Transformers

• Some P/Ns include an “F” or “N” after the initial letter.– VF1K0BTZ13JK– BN1K0BTZ13– HN1K5G1519P

• The “F” = 50/60Hz.• The “N” = 60Hz.

Page 28: Micron Transformers

Exceptions

• P/Ns that date back before 1983– May include a letter as the 2nd or 3rd character. This

identified the customer.

– BRQX040JCBXT7-50

– May include an “X” as the 2nd – 4th character. This identified special construction.

– BX100MBT13

– BRQX040JCBXT7-50

Page 29: Micron Transformers

Temperature Class

• An ending “F” denotes Class 130°C.• B150BTZ13JKF

– Internally, Micron may replace with a leading “M”.• M150BTZ13JK

• An ending “H” denotes Class 180°C.• B1K5BTZ13JKH

– Internally, Micron may replace with a leading “N”.• N1K5BTZ13JK

Page 30: Micron Transformers

VA/KVA

• VA = Volts X Amps• KVA = VA X 1000

• The numbers following the initial letter in the P/N = VA size.– B050BTZ13JK (50VA)– B100BTZ13JK (100VA)– B100-2003-GA– VF1K0BTZ13JK (1000VA or 1KVA)

Page 31: Micron Transformers

Primary Voltages

• The letters following the VA size = primary voltage.– B050LP7JK

• letters and representative voltages are:– B = 230 P = 240 W = 575– L = 120 R = 380– M = 208 T = 460– Q = 277 U = 480

Page 32: Micron Transformers

• A “Z” as the last letter = transformer can handle a voltage range 5% of nominal voltage (triple rated).– B050BTZ13JK

• 220/230/240

– B050WZ13XK• 550/575/600

– B1K0BTWZ37XKH• 220/230/240, 440/460/480, 550/575/600

Page 33: Micron Transformers

Exceptions

• The “Z” is deleted on triple rated P/Ns that would be longer than 12 characters.– B100MBT713XK

• All voltage reference is deleted from serialized P/Ns.– B150-0484-1

– B150-2004-GAF

Page 34: Micron Transformers

Secondary Voltages

• The numbers following the primary voltage = secondary voltage– B050LP7JK B050PU1519JJ

– B050MQ15XK EF1K0BTZ1318

– B050MBT713XK

• letters and representative voltages are:– 7 = 24 18 = 230

– 13 = 115 19 = 240

– 15 = 120 34 = 110/220

Page 35: Micron Transformers

Exceptions

• All voltage reference is deleted from serialized P/Ns.– B150-0484-1– B150-2004-GAF

Page 37: Micron Transformers

Jumpers

• Jumpers are used to connect terminals together. Common uses are to derive either 230 or 460 from a series/parallel wound device or sometimes to connect fuse clips on the terminal block.

• Jumpers are denoted by a “J” as one or both of the final 2 characters on the P/N.– B050 BTZ13JK– B050PU1519JJ

Page 38: Micron Transformers

Exceptions• Jumpers are included but not denoted in the

following P/N constructions:

EconoTRANEF1K0BTZ13

GlobalTRANB100-2003-GA

Page 39: Micron Transformers

• The letter “T” as one of the last 2 characters denotes an optional Stack ‘n Store (J3) jumper.– B100BTZ13TK

Page 40: Micron Transformers

Secondary Fuse Clips

• Virtually all ImperviTRAN products include mounted fuse clips for a 13/32 X 1-1/2 midget fuse on the secondary side.

• This is denoted with a “K” at the end of the P/N, –1 on a serialized P/N & “F” on GlobalTRAN.– B050BTZ13JK– B050MQ15XK– B050-0482-1 – B050-2001-GF

Page 41: Micron Transformers

• Mounted fuse clips for ¼ X 1¼ or 9/16 X 2 type secondary fuses can be ordered by substituting the “K” with the following letter:– Q = ¼ X 1¼ B100BTZ13JQ

– M = 9/16 X 2 B100BTZ13JM

• A “-3” at the end of a serialized P/N= no fusing capability.

Page 42: Micron Transformers

Primary Fuse Blocks

• Class ‘CC’ style & midget style fuse blocks can be ordered as a factory installed option on ImperviTRAN & ValuTRAN.

• The letter “R” as the next to last character = a class ‘CC’ fuse block.– B100BTZ13RB

• The letter “N” as the next to last character = a midget style fuse block.– B100BTZ13NB

Page 43: Micron Transformers

• A “–8” on a serialized P/N = class ‘CC’ fuse block.– B100-0483-8

• The letter “K” at the end of a GlobalTRAN P/N = class ‘CC’ fuse block.– B100-2003-GK

• The letter “G” at the end of a GlobalTRAN P/N when secondary fusing is also ordered = class ‘CC’ fuse block.– B100-2003-GG

Page 44: Micron Transformers

Exceptions

(although installed).– B100BTZ13– May include a customer identifier after the secondary

voltage identifier.– BX050ER7-FE– May include an identifier calling out a design feature, ie:

CT = Center Tap– B050L7-CT
