HOT STREAK: 3B Ian Stewart leads Nationals farmhands and is tied for the International
League lead with six home runs...His 19 RBI are tied for most in the Nationals organization
and tied for fi fth in the International League...On May 8 vs. Durham (TBR), Stewart clubbed
two home runs the Chiefs 7-6 loss to the Bulls...Since that day, Stewart is hitting .286 (6-for-
21) with three home runs, six RBI, one walk and six runs scored.
MANNY IS THE MAN: INF Emmanuel Burriss has hit safely in 11 straight games and has
reached base safely in 13 straight...During this stretch, Burriss is hitting .300 (15-for-50) with
one home run, four RBI, six walks, four stolen bases and seven runs scored.
HARRISBURG SENATORS (AA - Eastern League)

VOTE FOR PEDRO: After starting the season on an 0-for-22 skid, C Pedro Severino has
stayed hot, hitting .377 (23-for-61) with three doubles, two homers, 12 RBI, fi ve walks and nine
runs scored in 17 games since April 17...He has hit safely in 13 of those 17 games along the
way...His .277 average on the season is tied for eighth among Nationals farmhands.
VIEW FROM THE TOP: RHP Joe Ross (2nd, 41) and RHP Austin Voth (T5th, 34) each rank
in the top fi ve in strikeouts in the Eastern League...Ross and Voth occupy the top two spots in
strikeouts among Nationals farmhands as well...Both pitchers have started seven games for
the Sens...Ross is 2-1 with a 2.54 ERA (11 ER/39.0 IP) in while Voth is 2-2 with a 4.03 ERA
(17 ER/38.0 IP).
MATT THE BAT: With fi ve, 1B Matt Skole ranks tied for second in Washingtons chain and
tied for fi fth in the Eastern League in home runs...Nine of his 20 hits this season have gone
for extra bases (3 2B, 3B, 5 HR) while his 17 RBI this season pace the Harrisburg Senators...
Skole homered in back-to-back games, May 8-9 vs. Altoona (PIT).

REY OF HOPE: Through two starts, RHP Reynaldo Lopez has yet to allow an earned run in
11.0 IP...He is 2-0 and has fanned nine batters while walking two and surrendering six hits in
his fi rst taste of Carolina League action...In his 2015 debut on May 7 at Wilmington (KCR), the
21-year-old Dominican Republic-native allowed two hits while striking out three and walking
none in 5.0 innings of work in Potomacs 2-1 win...He followed that up on May 12 when he
struck out six while allowing four hits in 6.0 innings at Wilmington (W2-0)...Lopez entered 2015
rated as the No. 3 prospect in Washingtons system, per Baseball America...He was signed as
a non-drafted free agent, June 21, 2012.
EXTRA! EXTRA!: Over a three-game stretch from May 8-10, 3B Drew Ward went 5-for-12
(.417) with all fi ve hits going for extra bases (4 2B, HR)...On the season, the 20-year-old is hit-
ting .267 with a .360 on-base percentage and a .406 slugging percentage...His 19 RBI are tied
for the lead amongst Nationals farmhands and are tied for seventh in the Carolina League...
He also leads the Potomac Nationals and ranks tied for third in the Carolina League with eight
doubles...Ward, 20, was selected in the third round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft out
of Leedy (OK) High School...He entered 2015 rated as the No. 8 prospect in the Nationals
organization, according to Baseball America.
HAGERSTOWN SUNS (A - South Atlantic League)

HIT PARADE: OF Alec Keller and 3B Grant DeBruin are pacing Hagerstowns offense
through the seasons fi rst 33 games...Keller (17th rd, 2014) leads the club and ranks second
in the organization with a .318 average (28-for-88)...DeBruin, signed as a minor-league free
agent in January, leads the club with 32 hits, and is hitting .314 along the way, placing him third
in the system in batting average.
START ME UP: Through six starts, RHP Phillips Valdez is 3-2 with a 1.50 ERA (5 ER/30.0
IP)...His 1.50 ERA ranks second in the organization and third in the South Atlantic League...
From April 19-May 1, Valdez went 2-0 and did not allow an earned run in 17.0 IP...He struck
out 11 and did not walk a batter during that stretch...Valdez, 23, was singed as a non-drafted
free agent, May 30, 2012.
MARVELOUS MARMOLEJOS: 1B Jose Marmolejos-Diaz ranks fi fth in the South Atlantic
League with a .523 slugging percentage...In 29 games, he has collected 30 hits, with 11
doubles, two triples and four home runs...His 11 doubles pace the Suns and are tied for sec-
ond in the South Atlantic League.
