Invites have been sent; as at 8 April, 30 people have registered for the event. Questions were raised on whether the feedback received via Central CIPS actually works. It was mentioned that the Branch used to manage their own feedback by handing out simple questionnaires at the event, but this was stopped at the

4. Membership Survey Out of 476 members (approx 80% public sector; 20% private sector) responses were received from 50 members. The results were discussed, but there were questions where no responses were received. It was thought that although the results show no responses were received those particular questions were not actually seen. Hayley does have a list of those people who showed an interest in becoming Branch committee members and/or hosting and event. It was decided that follow-up email would be sent to them to clarify the question asked and the response received.

Branch Membership and Financial position Hayley now has a full list of members. Laura has tried to engage with other groups on “Linked-In” to try and get people to join the Northumbria Branch Group. Laura mentioned that a Newsletter would be a good idea, to be sent from the Branch email address (via CIPS), issued quarterly. A template is available from CIPS. The aim is to “localise” the Northumbria Community, committee member details (photographs, brief career/ experience synopsis. Hayley will request template and then Laura will develop an initial draft to circulate to the rest of the committee. The aim now is to review the membership list and make calls/ contact people committee members know to discuss the Branch and its activities and how they may be able to support. Student Representative Student members have been identified; details to be forwarded. (DWP x 2; Dominic Hunter; NWL)
