Mitosis is better called nuclear replication because the cell does not divide duringMitosis, it just replicates it's nucleus. The actual splitting of the cell happens duringCytokinesis. Mitosis is just replicating DNA and moving the nucleus' to the ends of the cell.

Above it says that the whitefish blastula is perfect for mitosis because afterit is fertilized it begins to divide so we can see many different phases. There are also a lot of cells present so we will be able to see a lot more cells.

Most cells would be in interphase because interphase is the most common stage and the cells wouldn't be actively dividing.

Though interphase is the phase that takes the longest part of the cell's life,it is not part of mitosis. In Mitosis prophase is the most time consuming part.
