PQ Series switch for pneumatic applications in robotics and material handling

PK Series switch with adjustment dials that quickly establish setpoints

ifm’s PQ series pressure switch is designed for pneumaticapplications in robotics and material handling. The switchprecisely measures the full range of vacuum and pressuretypical in these applications.

The cube-shaped pressure switch easily retrofits traditionalpressure switches at a fraction of the price. The compactswitch can be installed in areas with limited mountingspace.

PK pressure switches feature mechanical adjustment dials that rotate to quickly establish the setpoint and resetpoint in anapplication. The switch is adjustable withoutsystem pressure and supply voltage, whicheliminates the need for a separate gauge. The compact design is ideal for space savingmounting.

• 316 stainless steel process connection and strain gauge technology provide highreliability

• Accuracy is consistent across the rangereducing the number of ranges required

• The switch’s high accuracy and long-termstability insure the setpoint does not drift

Reliable sensing principle

The sensing technology is based on a silicon piezoresistive measuring cell. Thiscell is insensitive to liquids and depositsthat may occur in a pneumatic system. The miniature silicon cell enables a smalllow profile housing design that’s a cost-effective solution for pneumatic pressuresensing applications.

Values can be programmed tochange color depending on theswitching output status (e.g.,red: output 1 switched; green:output 1 not switched).
