Allah created the night and the day, light and darkness.

} {

All praise is for Allah alone, Who created the heavens and the earth,and brought into being light and darkness.

-1} 30{

Did the unbelievers (who do not accept the teaching of the Prophet)not realize that the heavens and the earth were joined together asone united piece, then We tore them apart, and We made everyliving being out of water? Will they, then, not believe (that Wecreated all this? And We placed firm mountains on earth lest itshould sway with them, and We made wide paths in them that theymay find their way ; and We made the sky a secure canopy ; andyet they turn away from these Signs. It is He Who created the nightand the day, and the sun and the moon. Each of them is floating in itsorbit.

} 9 0{

Is it harder to create you or the heaven? But Allah built it, and raised its vaulthigh and proportioned it ; and covered its night with darkness and brought

forth from it its day ; and thereafter spread out the earth, and brought out of

9} {

He is the First and the Last, and the Manifest and the Hidden, and Hehas knowledge of everything. He it is Who created the heavens andthe earth in six days and then established Himself on the Throne. Heknows all that enters the earth and all that comes forth from it, andall that comes down from the heaven and all that goes up to it. He iswith you wherever you are. Allah sees all that you do. His is thedominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Him are all mattersreferred (for judgement (. He causes the night to pass into the day,and causes the day to pass into the night, and He fully knows all thatis hidden in the breasts of people .

} 9{

(O Allah!) You cause the night to pass into the day and the day topass into the night. You bring forth the living out of the dead, and

You bring the dead out of the living, and You give sustenance towhom You will beyond all reckoning.

Allah made made the night a covering, for repose, and madethe da to seek livelihood.

So shall it be because it is Allah Who causes the night to emerge outof the day and causes the day to emerge out of the night and Allah isAll-Hearing, All-Seeing. So shall it be because Allah, He is the Truth,and all whom they invoke instead of Him are false. Allah is MostHigh, All-Great .

} 1 {

Highly blessed is He, Who has made fortified spheres in the heavens andhas set in it a "lamp" and a shining moon. He it is Who caused the nightand the day to succeed each other so that everyone who desires maylearn a lesson or become grateful .

} 6{

It is He Who causes the dawn to split forth, and has ordained thenight for repose, and the sun and the moon for reckoning time. Allthis is determined by Allah the Almighty, the All-Knowing.

7 } 6{

Have We not spread the earth like a bed, and fixed the mountainslike pegs, and created you in pairs (as men and women), and made

So that you may seek the bounty of your Lord and know thecom utation of ears and numbers.

courses, Who subjected for you the night and the day, and Who gave youall that you asked Him for. Were you to count the favours of Allah youshall never be able to encompass them. Verily man is highly unjust,exceedingly ungrateful .

-6} {

He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and themoon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command.

Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason.

-9 } {

We have made night and day as two signs. We made the sign of thenight devoid of light, and made the sign of the day radiant that you mayseek the bounty of your Lord and know the computation of years andnumbers. Thus We have expounded everything in detail to keepeverything distinct from the other .

3} {

He it is Who gave the sun radiance and the moon light , and determinedthe stages (for the waxing and waning) of the moon that you may learnthe calculation of years and the reckoning of time. Allah has created allthis with a rightful purpose (rather than out of play). He expounds His

'Observe carefully all that is in the heavens and the earth.'

Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens out the shadow? Had

He willed He would have made it constant.

Then they shall know that the Truth is with Allah alone, and the lieswhich they had invented will forsake them .

} 9{

Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens out the shadow? HadHe willed , He would have made it constant , but We have made thesun its pilot ; then (as the sun climbs up) , We roll it up little by littletowards Ourselves. And it is Allah Who has ordained the night as agarment for you , and the sleep as a repose of death , and the day as thetime of return to life.

} 7{

Have they not observed the kingdom of the heavens and the earth,and all that Allah has created and that their term of life might have

drawn near After this warning from the Prophet, what will it be thatwill make them believe?

3} 31{

Tell them: 'Observe carefully all that is in the heavens and the earth.'But no signs and warnings can avail those who are bent on not believing .

fruit in pairs, two and two, and He it is Who causes the night tocover the day. Surely there are signs in these for those who reflect.

-6} 9 3{

And the night is another Sign for them. We strip the day from it and theybecome plunged in darkness. The sun is running its course to itsappointed place. That is the ordaining of the All-Mighty , the All-Knowing. We have appointed stages for the moon till it returns in theshape of a dry old branch of palm-tree. Neither does it lie in the sun'spower to overtake the moon nor can the night outstrip the day. All glidealong , each in its own orbit.

} {Allah alternates the day and the night: there is indeed a lesson init for those who have observing eyes.

-9 } {

We have made night and day as two signs. The Creator of the day and the night is the only God.

6} {

We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is betweenthem in Truth and for an appointed term. But those who disbelievehave turned away from what they were warned against.

} {

Surely your Lord is none other than Allah, Who created theheavens and the earth in six days, and then ascended HisThrone ; Who causes the night to cover the day and then the dayswiftly pursues the night ; Who created the sun and the moonand the stars making them all subservient to His command. Lo !His is the creation and His is the command. Blessed is Allah, theLord of the universe.

} 0 {

He causes the night to phase into the day and the day into the night , andHe has subjected the sun and the moon , each running its course to anappointed term. That is Allah , your Lord ; to Him belongs the Kingdom ; but those whom you call upon , apart from Allah , possess not so much as

the skin of a date-stone. If you call upon them , they cannot hear yourprayer. And if they hear it , they cannot answer it. On the Day of Resurrection they will disown you for associating others with Allah in HisDivinity. No one can inform you of the truth save the All-Aware.

} {

He created the heavens and the earth with Truth, and He folds up the dayover the night and folds up the night over the day. He has subjected the sunand the moon, each is running its course until an appointed time. Lo, He isthe Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving. He it is Who created you from a singlebeing, and He it is Who made from it its mate. He it is Who created for youeight heads of cattle in pairs. He creates you in your mothers' wombs, givingyou one form after another in threefold depths of darkness. That, then, isAllah, your Lord. His is the kingdom. There is no god but He. So, whence areyou being turned astray?

3} 1 {

Allah it is Who made the night so that you may seek repose in it , and madethe day radiant. Surely Allah is Most Bounteous to people ; but most peopledo not give thanks. Allah (Who bestowed all these favours upon you) is yourLord , the Creator of everything. There is no God but He. Whence are you ,then , being led astray?

Yet the people have set up, besides Him, deities, who do notcreate anything but are themselves created.

O people, a parable is set forth: pay heed to it …

We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between themin Truth and for an appointed term. But those who disbelieve haveturned away from what they were warned against. Tell them, (OProphet): “Did you consider those whom you call upon beside Allah ? Showme, which part of the earth they created? Or do they have any share increating the heavens? Bring to me any Scripture earlier than this one, or anyvestige of knowledge (in support of your belief) if you are truthful .

} 0 {

O people, a parable is set forth: pay heed to it. Those whom you callupon besides Allah cannot create even a fly, even if all of them cometogether to do that. And if the fly were to snatch away anythingfrom them, they would not be able to recover that from it.

Powerless is the supplicant; and powerless is he to whom hesupplicates. They have not formed a true estimate of Allah. Indeed,Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.

Those whom they call upon beside Allah have created nothing ; rather,they themselves were created.

By the day and by the night…

to ruins. Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Throne, Who is far abovetheir false descriptions of Him .

1 } {

By the sun and its heat and brightness , and by the moon as it follows it ; and by the day as it displays the sun's glory , and by the night as itenvelopes the sun ; and by the sky and by Him Who made it ; and by theearth and by Him Who stretched it out ;

} 6{

Nay , by the moon , and by the night when it recedes , and by the daywhen it dawns (with its radiance) , surely (Hell) is one of the greatestSigns , a warning to humankind.

} 6 {

Nay ; I swear by the twilight ; and by the night and what it enfolds , and bythe moon , when it reaches its fullness : you shall proceed onwards fromstage to stage.
