And of His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth.

And of His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and theliving creatures that He has spread out in them. He has the power tobring them together when He so wills.

} {3

And of His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and thediversity of your languages and colours. Indeed there are Signs inthis for those who pessess knowledge .

Surely there are countless signs for those who use theirunderstanding; they can see in the creation of the heavens and

the earth, in the alternation of the night and day, in the shipsthat sail the ocean laden with cargoes beneficial to mankind, andin the rain-water which Allah sends down from the sky andthereby gives life to the earth after its death and spreads over itall kinds of animate creatures, in the blowing of the winds and inthe clouds which obediently wait for orders between the sky andthe earth .

And of His Signs is that the sky and the earth stand firm by Hiscommand.

} {3

Surely in the alternation of the night and the day and in all that Allahhas created in the heavens and the earth there are signs for thepeople who seek to avoid (error of outlook and conduct) .

} {

Behold, for those who believe there are (myriad) Signs in theheavens and the earth and in your own creation ; and in the animalswhich He spreads out over the earth too there are Signs for thoseendowed with sure faith ; and in the succession of night and day,and in the provision that Allah sends down from the sky wherewithHe gives life to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the changeof the winds: (in all these) there are Signs for people who usereason. These are Allah's Signs that We rehearse to you in Truth. Inwhat kind of discourse after Allah and His Signs will they, then, believe?

And of His Signs is that the sky and the earth stand firm by His command.Then no sooner than He summons you out of the earth you will come forth .

'Observe carefully all that is in the heavens and the earth.'

And it is He Who holds back the sky that it may not fall on earth except by His permission? Surely Allah is Most Gentle, EverCompassionate to people .

Surely Allah holds the heavens and the earth, lest they should bedisplaced there, for if they were displaced none would be able tohold them after Him.Surely He is Most Forbearing, Most Forgiving .

}34 {3

Tell them: 'Observe carefully all that is in the heavens and the earth.'But no signs and warnings can avail those who are bent on notbelieving .

Have they not observed the kingdom of the heavens and the earth,and all that Allah has created and that their term of life might havedrawn near? After this warning from the Prophet, what will it bethat will make them believe?

The way of the men of understanding towards signs of Allah, and the conclusion drawn by them.

Ignorant people pass by the signs of Allah withoutgiving any heed!

Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth?No; the truth is that they lack sure faith .

}36 3 {

How many are the signs in the heavens and the earth which peoplepass by without giving any heed ! And most of them believe in Allahonly when they associate others with Him in His Divinity .

}34 {

Surely in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in thealternation of night and day, there are signs for men of understanding ;those who remember Allah while standing, sitting or (reclining) on theirbacks, and reflect in the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying):

Did the unbelievers (who do not accept the teaching of the

Prophet) not realize that the heavens and the earth were joinedtogether as one united piece, then We tore them apart.

Some signs in the heavens and the earth.

Soon shall We show them Our Signs on the horizonsand in their own beings.

'Our Lord ! You have not created this in vain. Glory to You ! Save us,then, from the chastisement of the Fire.

} 2 {4

Tell them, (O Prophet): Did you ever consider: if this Qur'an isindeed from Allah and you still deny it, who can be in greater errorthan he who goes far in fiercely opposing it? Soon shall We showthem Our Signs on the horizons and in their own beings until itbecomes clear to them that it is the Truth. Is it not enough that yourLord is a witness over everything? Lo, they are in doubt concerningtheir meeting with their Lord. Surely He fully encompasses everything .

Did they never observe the sky above them?

Did the unbelievers (who do not accept the teaching of the Prophet)not realize that the heavens and the earth were joined together asone united piece, then We tore them apart, and We made everyliving being out of water? Will they, then, not believe (that Wecreated all this?) And We placed firm mountains on earth lest itshould sway with them, and We made wide paths in them that theymay find their way ; and We made the sky a secure canopy ; and yetthey turn away from these Signs. It is He Who created the night andthe day, and the sun and the moon. Each of them is floating in its orbit.

Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it andbeautified it ; and it has no cracks ; and We have spread out theearth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it tobring out plants of all beauteous kinds? All these are to serve aseye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth) .

We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars and have protected it from every rebellious satan. Thesesatans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council forthey are pelted away from every side and are repelled. Theirs isan unceasing chastisement. And if any is able to snatch afragment, he is p ursued by a piercing flame. So ask them: Werethey harder to create than the objects We created? We createdthem from sticky clay. You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, and when they are admonished, theypay no heed ; and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away.

Do you not see how Allah has created seven heavens, oneupon the other, and has placed the moon in them as a light,

and the sun as a radiant lamp? And Allah has caused you togrow out of the earth so wondrously, and He will later causeyou to return to it and will then again bring you out of it.Allah has made the earth a wide expanse for you so that youmay tread its spacious paths.

And We made the sky a secure canopy with no cracks no flaws.

It is Allah Who has raised the heavens without any supportsthat you could see.

It is Allah Who has raised the heavens without any supports that youcould see, and then He established Himself on the Throne (of Dominion). And He it is Who has made the sun and the moon

subservient (to a law), each running its course till an appointed term.He governs the entire order of the universe and clearly explains thesigns that you may be firmly convinced about meeting your Lord.

Highly blessed is He, Who has made fortified spheres in the heavens andhas set in it a "lamp" and a shining moon. He it is Who caused the nightand the day to succeed each other so that everyone who desires maylearn a lesson or become grateful .

And We made the sky a secure canopy ; and yet they turn away fromthese Signs. It is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun

and the moon. Each of them is floating in its orbit.

There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith

} {3 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it andbeautified it; and it has no cracks.

He, Who created the seven heavens one upon another. You will seeno incongruity in the Merciful One's creation. Turn your vision again,can you see any flaw? Then turn your vision again, and then again ;in the end your vision will come back to you, worn out and frustrated.

There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, and also inyour own selves. Do you not see?

He it is Who spread the earth for you ; and made in it paths for you, andsent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forthmany species of diverse plants. So eat yourself and pasture your cattle.Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. From

Have you not seen that Allah has subjected to your serviceall that is in the heavens and on the earth.

this very earth We created you and to the same earth We shall cause youto return, and from it We shall bring you forth to life again.

He it is Who has stretched out the earth and has placed in it firmmountains and has caused the rivers to flow. He has made everyfruit in pairs, two and two, and He it is Who causes the night tocover the day. Surely there are signs in these for those who reflect.And on the earth there are many tracts of land neighbouring eachother. There are on it vineyards, and sown fields, and date palms:some growing in clusters from one root, some standing alone. Theyare irrigated by the same water, and yet We make some excel othersin taste. Surely there are signs in these for a people who use theirunderstanding.

Have you not seen that Allah has subjected to your service all that isin the heavens and on the earth and has abundantly bestowed uponyou all His bounties, both visible and invisible? Yet some persons

We could, if We so wished, cause the earth to swallow them or letfragments of the sky fall upon them. Verily there is a Sign in this.

dispute regarding Allah without having any knowledge or guidanceor any illuminating Book .

} {

Have you not seen how Allah has subjected to you all that is in theearth, and the vessels that sail in the sea by His command.

Do they not see how the heavens and the earth encompass them fromthe front and the rear? We could, if We so wished, cause the earth toswallow them or let fragments of the sky fall upon them. Verily there is aSign in this for every servant (of Allah) who penitently turns to Him .

} {

Say: "It is He Who has the power to send forth chastisement uponyou from above you, or from beneath your feet, or split you intohostile groups and make some of you taste each others' violence.Behold, how We set forth Our signs in diverse forms, so that maybethey will understand the Truth ."

Allah has created the heavens and the earth in Truth.Certainly there is a Sign in this.

Are you more difficult to create or is the heaven that Heconstructed?

Do you not see that Allah created the heavens and the earth inTruth? Were He to will, He could take you away and bring a newcreation .

Do they not reflect on themselves? Allah created the heavens and theearth and whatever lies between them in Truth and for an appointedterm. Yet many people deny that they will meet their Lord .

Are you more difficult to create or is the heaven that He constructed? Heraised its vault high and proportioned it ; and covered its night with

Has He Who created the heavens and the earth no powerto create the likes of them?

darkness and brought forth from it its day ; and thereafter spread out theearth, and brought out of it its water and its pasture, and firmly fixed init mountains ; all this as provision for you and your cattle.

Surely the creation of the heavens and the earth is a greater act than thecreation of human beings. But most people do not know .

}40 {6-

Has He Who created the heavens and the earth no power to createthe likes of them? Yes, indeed, He is the Superb Creator. WheneverHe wills a thing, He just commands it Be and it is. Holy is He Whohas full control over everything, and to Him you shall all be recalled.

} { 7-

Have they not perceived that Allah, Who has created the heavensand the earth, has the power to create the like of them? He has fixeda term for them about which there is no doubt. And yet the wrong-doers obstinately persist in unbelief .

Is there any god associated with Allah (in these tasks)?

Do they not see that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and creating them did not wear Him out has the power to bring thedead back to life? Why not ! He certainly has the power over everything .

}2 3 { 7

Who is it that has created the heavens and the earth and sent downfor you water from the sky and then We caused to grow therewithgardens full of beauty whose trees you could never grow. Is thereany god associated with Allah (in these tasks)?" Nay, they are apeople who are veering away from the Right Path. Who is it Who hasmade the earth a place of resort, and has caused rivers to flow in itsmidst, and has placed upon it firm mountains, and has placed abarrier between two masses of water? Is there any god associatedwith Allah (in these tasks)? Nay ; but most of them do not know.Who is it Who heeds the prayers of the distressed when he calls out

Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created?Or do they have any partnership with Allah?

to Him and Who removes his affliction? And who is it Who makesyou vicegerents of the earth? Is there any god associated with Allah(in this task)? How little do you reflect ! Who is it Who guides youthrough the darkness on land and sea? And Who sends winds asheralds of good tidings ahead of His Mercy? Is there any godassociated with Allah (in this task)? Exalted be Allah above whateverthey associate with Him in His Divinity ! Who is it Who creates in thefirst instance and then repeats it? Who is it Who provides you withsustenance from the heavens and the earth? Is there any god associatedwith Allah (in these tasks)? Say: "Bring forth your evidence, if you aretruthful. "

Ask them: "Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?" Say:"Allah." Tell them: "Have you taken beside Him as your patronsthose who do not have the power to benefit or to hurt even

themselves?" Say: "Can the blind and the seeing be deemedequals? Or can light and darkness be deemed equals?" If that isnot so, then have those whom they associate with Allah in HisDivinity ever created anything like what Allah did so that thequestion of creation has become dubious to them? Say: "Allah isthe creator of everything. He is the One, the Irresistible ".

Say to them (O Prophet): Have you ever seen those of yourassociates upon whom you call apart from Allah? Show me whathave they created in the earth? Or do they have any partnership(with Allah) in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book sothat they have a clear proof (for associating others with Allah inHis Divinity)? Nay, what these wrong -doers promise each otheris nothing but delusion. Surely Allah holds the heavens and the

earth, lest they should be displaced there, for if they weredisplaced none would be able to hold them after Him. Surely Heis Most Forbearing, Most Forgiving.

Tell them, (O Prophet): Did you c onsider those whom you call

upon beside Allah? Show me, which part of the earth theycreated? Or do they have any share in creating the heavens? Bring to me any Scripture earlier than this one, or any vestige of knowledge (in support of your belief) if you are truthful .

Do you indeed disbelieve in Him and assign compeers to Him Who

Yet the people have set up, besides Him, deities, who do notcreate anything but are themselves created

} 4 {

Do they associate (with Allah in His divinity) those who can createnothing ; rather, they are themselves created? They have no power tohelp others nor can they help themselves .

} {4

Tell them, (O Prophet): Do you indeed disbelieve in Him andassign compeers to Him Who created the earth in two days? Heis the Lord of all beings of the Universe. (After creating the earth)He set up firm mountains on it, blessed it, and provided it withsustenance in proportion to the needs of all who seek(sustenance). All this was done in four days. Then He turned to

the heaven while it was all smoke. He said to the heaven and theearth: Come (into being), willingly or unwillingly. They said:Here we come (into being) in willing obeisance. Then He madethem seven heavens in two days and revealed to each heaven itslaw. And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and firmlysecured it. All this is the firm plan of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.

Allah's Omnipotence, His Greatness On the Day of Resurrection the whole earth will be in His grasp,

and the heavens will be folded up in His Right Hand.

O people, a parable is set forth: pay heed to it

}7 {

They did not recognise the true worth of Allah. (Such is Allah's

power that) on the Day of Resurrection the whole earth will bein His grasp, and the heavens shall be folded up in His RightHand. Glory be to Him ! Exalted be He from all that theyassociate with Him.

}2 0 {

O people, a parable is set forth: pay heed to it. Those whom you callupon besides Allah cannot create even a fly, even if all of them cometogether to do that. And if the fly were to snatch away anythingfrom them, they would not be able to recover that from it.Powerless is the supplicant; and powerless is he to whom hesupplicates. They have not formed a true estimate of Allah. Indeed,Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.

The Creator of the heavens and the earth is the only God.

Allah it is Who made the earth a dwelling place for you and made the sky

a canopy, Who shaped you and shaped you exceedingly well andgave you good things as sustenance. That is Allah, your Lord ; blessed beAllah, the Lord of the Universe. He is the Ever-Living: there is no god butHe. So call upon Him, consecrating to Him all your devotion. All praiseand thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the whole Universe.Say, (O Prophet): I have been forbidden to worship those beside Allahwhom you call upon. (How can I worship any beside Allah) when clearSigns have come to me from my Lord and I have been commanded to

surrender to Allah, the Lord of the Universe?"

He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have a sonwhen He has had no mate? And He has created everything and He hasfull knowledge of all things. Such is Allah, your Lord. There is no god butHe - the Creator of all things. Serve Him alone - for it is He Who is theguardian of everything. No visual perception can encompass Him, eventhough He encompasses all visual perception. He is the All-Subtle, theAll-Aware
