This moto tour would be an ideal choice for all those who wish to go on a three-day getaway in Pelion, where they will discover the unique village of Makrinitsa, known as “the balcony of the Pagasetic gulf”, stroll along picturesque paths, explore the local open-air stores, and sample special meze dishes accompanied with tsipouro! This is a wonderful destination during all seasons. Pelion is the mountain of the mythical Centaurs and the chosen summer residence of the Olympian gods, as well as the kingdom of Peleus and his son, Achilles: it is no surprise that it is one of the most beloved destinations in Greece, as it combines the green color of nature with the blue color of the sea, lusciously green and rising high above to the north and the east of the city of Volos.

Day-by-day tour itinerary:
Day 1: Athens – Chalkida – Aedipsos – Aghiokampos – Glyfa – Volos – Chania (308 Km)
We will depart from Athens and head out to Chalkida, on the amazingly scenic route that takes us through northern Euboea (Euboean Tempi) – Mantoudi – Limni – Aedipsos, and board a ferry from Aghiokampos towards Glyfa and the modern city of Vo-los. We will then go up the mountain of the Centaurs, whose legendary stories will accompany us along our way until the tradi-tional village of Chania, where we will settle into our hotel.
Day 2: Portaria – Makrinitsa – Chania (60 Km)
After breakfast we will depart for the “Balcony of Pelion”, which is the renowned village of Makrinitsa. Whilst there, we will have the opportunity to wander around its central square, admire the famous former coffee-house (1910) that is now a listed monu-ment called “Theofilos”, visit the church of Aghios Ioannis Prodromos, and quench our thirst with a drink of “Immortal water” from the marble spring with the lion-shaped faucets. After enjoying our coffee and the amazing view, we will head off to the tradi-tional village of Portaria, where we will have free time for a stroll, an opportunity to buy various herbs and royal jelly, have a deli-cious meal, and visit noteworthy sights, such as the church of Virgin Mary of Portaria. We will return to our hotel in the afternoon.
Day 3: Chania – Tsagarada – Milies – Vyzitsa – Athens (382 Km)
We will have our breakfast and immediately head off for a visit in the famous village of Tsagarada! We will have time to enjoy a beverage and take in the wonderful view, take photos and engage in some tree-hugging (!) with the one thousand year old plane tree! We will then move on to the main village of Milies, set within in a landscape of unparalleled beauty, filled with trees and flowers, resting at the hillside of mount Pelion. Milies is the birthplace of renowned Greek writer Anthios Gazis, as well as home to the historic church of Pamegiston Taxiarches of 1741 and the municipal library. We will also have the opportunity to wander around the listed settlement in Vyzitsa, with its numerous imposing mansions. Our return to Athens will include a number of inter-mediary stops.
Please note: The tour itinerary may take place in a different order, but without omitting any parts of it, if this is deemed necessary for its smoother running.
