DescriptionThe MP20DL is a powerful pedestrianpallet truck with a low lift mast designed toeliminate back-stress associated withreplenishment /order picking and lightstacking applications. It’s narrow and short chassis make-it bothmanoeuvrable and compact. The creep speed button feature makes itfully manoeuvrable even with the tiller inthe upright position. The optional on board charger makescharging at mains socket outlets easy andconvenient.Designed for the most difficult applicationconditions for example driving on ramps, working in tight spaces or loading andunloading lorries. The mini-mast allows the support armsand load to be lifted to a height of 780 mmallowing the picking and replenishment orpositioning at a ‘user friendly’ height.Light stacking tasks including the handlingof half or full euro-pallets can be easilyundertaken with the separate support armand mast lift. This allows the retrieving orplacing of a load into a van or on to anelevated support table. The capacity of the load arm lift is 2,000kgand the mini-mast forks 700kg. The powerful maintenance-free AC drivemotor provides high speed and powerfulacceleration with low energy consumptionmaking the MP20DL ideal for fast, efficientgoods throughput. The operator is in control at all times withthe long, low mounted and low resistancetiller for steering. It ensures an essentialsafe distance is maintained between theoperator and truck. The tiller arm has beenspecially designed to ensure the trucknever gets “too close” to the operator intight spaces or corners. If space isparticularly confined, the creep speedbutton permits safe travel with the tiller inthe upright position. Depressing the creepspeed button releases the brake allowingthe truck to travel at a reduced speed. When the tiller is released a gas springautomatically returns to the verticalposition, this ensures a controlled stop andactivation of the truck brake.TillerThe controls on tiller head have beenergonomically designed for right or lefthand operators. The push buttons for horn, lifting andlowering can be operated without

changing the grip, reducing operatorfatigue. For operators wearing gloves the largesized buttons have depressed areas forease of operation. The tiller head layout permits thesimultaneous use of the hoisting, loweringand driving controls. The hand guard and the rounded frameprovide increased security for theoperator’s hands on the tiller. The large abdomen impact switch in thetiller head prevents the truck from trappingthe operator even when the tiller is analmost vertical position. The truckautomatically switches from forward tobackward travel when the abdomen switchtouches the operator’s body. The internal components (sensors and tillerPCB) are in housed in IP 65 enclosures. Allplug connectors and cable harnesses aremanufactured to IP 54, making them lesssusceptible to environmental factors forinstance rain and dust. The tiller head is manufactured from areinforced body and a steel tiller arm.Innovative AC technology The AC motor provides increasedefficiency with reduced operating costsover the entire lifespan of the truck andhas the following advantages: High efficiency with excellent energy

management Powerful acceleration Step-less regulation of travel speed

using the butterfly direction selector switch

Quick direction change with no “waiting” time

Maintenance free drive motor (no carbon brushes)

2-year/4000 hours warranty High travel comfort with easily and

individually adjustable performance parameters (set by service engineer) to provide the greatest productivity in particular applications

Operation FeaturesAdjustable speed control which facilitatescomfortable operation.Travel speed is managed by the butterflydirection controls and is kept constant inall travel situations including thenegotiation of gradients.Automatic braking prevents unintentionalroll-back when operating on ramps. Low noise levels during travelling.

Standard breaking is achieved by releasingthe drive switch or by plugging (reversingthe direction of travel). The AC motor acts as a brake andconsumes no energy from the batteryA laptop connector is provided underneaththe battery cover for ease of accessBraking systemThe braking system is made withindependent systems. Standard operating brake: drive motor braking - activated by

releasing the butterfly switch or reversetravel direction braking (plugging)

electromagnetic braking - achieved by an electromagnetic brake which is protected against the ingress of contaminates. It acts as emergency brake when the tiller is fully lowered or in the full vertical position or when the emergency button is applied

parking brake - is automatically appliedwhen the tiller is in the full vertical position

Support rollers for optimised corneringSprung cushioned support wheels absorbunstable forces that can be experienced incertain applications. The truck has robust support rollers withshock absorbers that can be easily andquickly adjusted. This makes the truckideal when operating in arduousapplications for instance ramp andgradient locations. High productivity and low energyconsumptionThe energy efficient AC technology used inthe MP20DL in combination with batterycapacities of up to 200Ah ensurecontinued operation in applications withlong shift times. The optional on board battery charger forthe 200 Ah BS battery provides easycharging at any mains socket outlet.Options On board battery charger Single load roller (reduces capacity to

1500 kg) Load backrest (height above fork face

1000 mm) Cover for mast area Cold store -30°C Traction wheels manufactured from

various compounds 200Ah “Airmix” and “Autofil” batteries

Safety. This truck conforms to the current EU requirements.Specification is subject to change without notice.
