Mr. Dewaker Basnet – Soft Skills Training Consultant, Writer & Media Observer
Mr. Dewaker Basnet brings along with him 6 years of manpower training and development consulting as well as writing experience.
In these years, he has served in the capacity of the editor of an international pharmaceutical magazine, handled the corporate communications and media relations of a reputed herbal pharmaceutical organization as well as been a part of several strategic level discussions and deliberations in the said organization.
His training experience started from his engagement with one of the pioneers of training and development firms in Bangalore where he successfully engaged himself with more than 13 companies, some of them being industry bellwethers like Infosys Technologies, Wipro Technologies, Fidelity Market Research and Ashok Leyland.
The stint with training has given him the opportunity to complete 4000+ hours of high end training, engage successfully with more than 12,000 professionals, ranging from finishing school to senior management levels and deliver in almost 25 modules ranging from Corporate Etiquette to Motivational skills.
His quest for engaging himself with the youngsters has given him the opportunity to connect with more than 1000 + college going students, thereby giving him a very good platform to connect the industry requirements for better employability skills amongst students.
At the age of 14, during his winter holidays, he borrowed money from his dad to start a small poultry farm in Sikkim. Everyone thought it was a crazy idea. They said winter is “NOT” the season. He made a profit of 2500 rupees.
He had to REPEAT his 12th
standard. People criticized and poked fingers. He successfully passed the class, next year, learning from the mistakes made and gaining more clarity from experience.
