Regional Swimming Report

Congratulations to the Merit Award and

Citizenship winners Term 1, Week 6

On the 3rd of March, Will Schaefer, Ella Fitzsimmons, Bailee Lucas and I went to the regional swimming carnival at Lambton Pool. We qualified to compete in the mixed senior relay for small schools (PP6 competition). We came second last overall, but swam our hardest against heaps of good relay teams. It was all very nerve racking at first, but when we got into the pool we felt at home. I think we all did very well and a big thank you the the parents who came on the day! By Ashley Smith

5/3/20 Excursion: Australian Reptile Park

Kindergarten, Years 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6

Dear Parent/Caregiver,

As a part of our studies of living things in Science, the school has organised an excursion to the Australian Reptile

Park, Somersby, for all students on Tuesday 17th March 2020. The students will be transported by bus leaving the

school at 7.20am and returning at approximately 2.45pm. There will be a pickup in town at approximately 7:50am

and we will notify you as to the exact meeting point in next week’s newsletter.

Families are welcome to meet us at the Reptile Park, however they will have to pay the entry costs to the park.

We can take 4 adults on the bus, to assist us with supervision, however no toddlers can come on the bus.

To identify the 4 people, we will have a ‘first in’ with the return of the permission note below, by MONDAY

9th March (or a ballot if more than 4 people offer).

Students will be required to be in school uniform (with hat) and bring fruit, recess, lunch and a refillable water bottle.

The cost for the excursion is $14 per student.

Please complete the permission note attached to indicate your child/children’s participation and return it to the school office by no later than Monday 16th March at the latest. Payment can be to school or by POP.

Many thanks, Julie Black Principal
